homemade aftershave ?

Hi!
I am trying to transition our personal care products to more natural alternatives. DH is almost out of aftershave so I am interested in making some. Does anyone do this and have any recipes to share? I am thinking of using some sort of alcohol, some aloe vera and eo's, but not sure if this will work.
Thanks!

Maybe try witch hazel instead of alcohol? It's a natural and mild astringent, less drying than alcohol, and very soothing.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AFTER SHAVE
This actually does work, believe it or not. The witch hazel can be found in the drug store and is mildly astringent. The cider vinegar you can pick up at your local grocery store.

Materials:

1 part apple cider vinegar
1 part vegetable glycerin or witch hazel

Directions:

Mix the cider vinegar and the witch hazel or glycerin together. Store in a decorative bottle with a cork stopper or screw top lid to keep the air out when not in use.

This aftershave won’t have any perfume in it so should not cause allergic reactions to people with sensitive skin.
