Which cheap but still good and working Dehydrator can i buy? How long do you steam the placenta ? What size capsules do i buy? the dehydrator off Amazon is like under $40 by nesco american harvest foods. http://www.amazon.com/Nesco-FD-37A-American-Dehydrator-400-watt/dp/B00CS5ZI6G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1377474079&sr=8-3&keywords=dehydrator

capsule machine kit i was looking at http://www.amazon.com/Capsule-Machine-fill-201c00-201c-capsules/dp/B006OQ4316/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3CMHC8E1D9IOG&coliid=I38Q7S82G83OPU

Coffee Grinder http://www.amazon.com/Proctor-Silex-E160BY-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B00006IUX5/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1377474155&sr=8-3&keywords=coffee+grinder

Do i need to add spices and lemon? I read some where that doing a normal Raw Placenta Encaps is not ok? but i see more Doulas doing it for there clients so whats the deal? I dont have the $250 to pay the Doula and i rather just do it my self.

Any advice, and tips would be appreciated. thanks.gif

Are you planning on doing it yourself after the birth or is there someone to help you?

This kit might help:

I got this, but I'm sure yours is just fine. I was hoping to find one at a thrift store, but gave up.

I bought a $17 blender at Target, I'm hoping that will work. I also did not buy the capsule machine, although I'm sure it is handy to have that.

What's wrong with the raw method? Do you have any information on that? I'm asking because that's what I was planning to do. I wasn't going to boil/steam it, I was just going to rinse, cut it up and dehydrate, then put in capsules.

I am planning on doing the same unless I hear that it's bad otherwise. I figure it'll be more efficient. Plus, I may be wrong but it seems like steaming it would lose more nutrients. I don't know, but my cousin did it the raw way and had no problems and it helped her out.
