Happy birthday serafina!
How are you feeling Danielle? I hope everything calmed down!!
Ok so this is random, but I've been having a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen when baby moves against something (no idea what) since I was sick/having contractions 5 weeks ago. Anyone have pain like this when the baby moves? Or just any idea what it could be? I don't know if I should be concerned or not.
I know exactly what you mean Ciga! I used to mistake hardball baby for bh, but I know better now!
Danielle, I'm glad to hear everything is ok! What a scare! It sounds like you're pretty set though, if she decides to make an entrance! Take it easy, mama :) I have my group b swab tomorrow, hopefully I'm clear. Sorry to hear your iron levels are giving you trouble, how frustrating. I know low iron makes you so exhausted, ugh!
I get hard-ball baby too! I think I was confusing that for BH as well, Dahlia. Though, the midwife said sometimes her movements could kick off a contraction, so sheesh I'm still not sure which it is!
I have the GBS swab in two weeks. Fun fun. And they'll retest my iron then too, which hopefully will have come up at least a bit. I was at 10.6 last time and have switched supplements to one with a higher dose and have been really consistent about taking it (with Vitamin C). :: fingers crossed ::
Oh, and babs was anterior at my appt yesterday, so that's good. I took my mom as well as hubs this time so she could see the birth center and all that jazz. Now I need to get up the nerve to email the midwife I like and tell her that she's the one I want there for the birth. I brought up the issues of preferences in a general sense at the appointment and she said it's totally cool, I wouldn't be the first to have a preference, yadda yadda. I want her for sure, and could tolerate someone else, and then there's a student that I DO NOT want there - girl annoys the crap out of me at every appt. So, hopefully all that will work out the way I want in the end, but we shall see.
I also got some herbal labor prep pills that I'm supposed to start taking next week, upping the amounts I take until baby comes. The midwife said they've seen good results with this regimen, even with other first timers. I'll give most anything a go to hopefully have a smooth labor. What's a few more pills on top of the zillion supplements I already take in a day, right?
Yay for an anterior baby! Fingers crossed that everything goes how you want with who's present at your labor! What are the pills you're taking for labor prep? I'm willing to do pretty much anything to help things along too!
I've heard of women drinking raspberry leaf tea leading up to labor.. It's supposed to help with uterine muscle tone or something, right?
