I know... poor dsd. :( He has issues with her for lots of ridiculous reasons. She's a good kid.
No babies... don't jinx me, Joanie!!!
*sigh* Eli is being a terror ... it is super hot and Eli is running a temperature - his head is completely drenched with sweat. Come on, it is September ... it is supposed to be cooler by now!
I am sorry that he is treating dsd so poorly. She must feel so rejected, I am thankful you are there to love her!
I second that Sara, go to a hotel and pretend! I could use that right about now - a nice stay in a hotel ... aaaaahhhh ...
Amanda, if both vehicles are in your name then he has ZERO claim. He needs to figure this sh*t out on his own. He doesn't get to take a bunch of stuff from you, leave ALL the kids including the one not related to you, and then demand a car! NO! No he does not. No switching off cars, no, that is a recipe for disaster when you need the other vehicle. Don't bend to that guilt. He brought this all on himself. He needs to NUT UP and solve his own problems. But seriously... he doesn't have a job, he doesn't have kids to worry about, what does he need a car for anyway?!
I could do cooler right now ... *sigh* ... just rinsed Eli's hair in the hope that it will cool him down, and he fell asleep. Our place is so hot, shame ... I pointed a fan to where he sleeps in the hopes that it will alleviate the heat some. I could use that fan right about now, but priority is that Eli gets some sleep...
We have gone camping tons, but that was before Eli was born. Last time I was 4 months pregnant, we had decided to camp for 3 days and stay in a hotel for 2 nights, but alas ... it was so miserably cold and rainy, we only camped one night and stayed at the hotel the next ... our entire trip rained out, it sucked... Anyhow... hope it is fun Sara!
I can see the reasoning for long hikes or the appeal to kids. I wish I liked camping b/c it seems really rugged and like a good skill to have. You know- the ability to survive without modern conveniences and all. But every time I've camped, I've sort of hated it.
Was he? I thought he was "working on starting his own business?"
