So Nicole, what is the plan as far as active labor/transition goes... and birthing... you're going to the hospital and birthing there, right? Are you able to use a birthing pool, or are you planning to birth on a bed?
I plan on laboring as long as possible at home so I can do as I please. The hospital is pretty main stream, no pools or tubs or anything... DH is terrified I'm going to wait until push time and have her in the car. Haha.

I'll get a nap at two when Conner does. Hopefully I wake up in actual .labor

Seems easy enough.

Maybe line the seat and floor with a tarp, just in case... oh, and bring lots of towels.
Oh, I had a folded towel under me and one wrapped around my waist. Not a drop got on the car. The one that was wrapped around my waist became the first baby blanket.

Towels. Check.

They blacklisted Pandora at my work. I am so bummed. I need some music. greensad.gif Someone told me to try Grooveshark but I'm not as into it as Pandora... and for whatever reason, Pandora drops in and out on my cell phone cuz of commercial interferences. So the phone is a no-go.

I'm around and fine. You ladies just post way too much for me to keep up, lol. And I came down with a bad cold this week. And we've been busy with school, work, etc. But I'm thinking of you all, especially Nicole- I'm so excited for you. Hang in there, mama, you can do this.

27 weeks- I'm calling 3rd trimester! :)

Kali, good to hear from you!  Third trimester it is!  Have any belly shots?

Nicole, just don't so what my SIL did. She labored in the hospital and stalled at 4 cm. since she wasn't progressing anymore, they sent her home on ambien and told her to rest. She labored for hours in her sleep while my sister sat by her and timed them. Then, woke up ready to push. My niece was born in the backseat of my mom's car in the emergency entrance to the hospital. True story. Don't take sleeping pills for that nap, lol.

Katie, you can so do this. If you've been going on that little sleep already, night weaning will be a walk in the park to you. Just think of it as only one more week of craptastic sleep.

I couldn't fall asleep last night. Then, I woke up at 4:30 this morning for some insane reason and have been awake ever since. I chugged some coffee before and at work, but it wore off already. I can't do caffeine in the afternoon of I won't sleep tonight, so I'll just have to suffer until bedtime. Oh and I also woke up to a cold today. Scratchy throat, lots of drainage, fun stuff. And my mom may be coming home tomorrow but I don't want to expose her to anything if I'm getting sick and I haven't seen her since last Sunday. I have no idea how to be helpful when she starts chemo. I work with kids and I'm exposed to absolutely everything all winter long.

Amanda, omg I love this Songza site! Muchas gracias! I'm listening to Coffee Shop Indie. Just what I was looking for. Hi Kali, I'm glad you're fine but sorry you're dealing with a cold. Yay for third trimester! Wow you're far along now too. What is your birth plan this time around?

Hmm, I just posted something about pushing but it looks like it got lost in webland. I was wondering... What does it feel like to feel the "need" to push the baby out? I never had that sensation because my midwife just told me to go ahead and start pushing at 9.5 cm while she held the lip of my cervix aside. I was exhausted and only pushed cuz I was told I could. Not because I felt a need to. I'm kind of nervous about that part next time.
