Temping Question

....do you have to take your temp at the same time every day for it to be reliable? I'm not working this summer so I pretty much wake up when I wake up, usually around the same time but not always. Should I be setting an alarm to wake up at the same time?

Yep pretty much. It will change considerably the longer you sleep in for some people. And you need 3 hours uninterrupted sleep before you wake.

hmm, so it's not just what time I get up but what time I went to bed? yikes, my bedtimes are all over the place! thanks for the help.

Actually I haven't read anything about bedtime being important.

It's not the bedtime, it's that you've been sleeping for three hours (at least) when you take your temperature.

You can try and see what your patterns are. Some people can get reasonable temperatures in spite of irregularities (many mothers don't get three hours of sleep in a row, but can still predict ovulation reasonably accurately)
