We have a worm been that is months past due for going through. I think perhaps I should have got a regular compost. I am not looking forward to spending the time and energy going through the bin. BUT I also can't figure out where and HOW to keep the vermicast! I mean how do you store it??

thanks!

When we vermicast we just kept it in a tub, on the porch until it could be moved into the compost.

I am not clear-so you take it our of the worm bin, put in a tub and then add it to you compost> Or do you mean add it to plants etc. If you store the vermicast (not the worms) you mean you keep in an open container?

one of my problems is I was told to keep it covered enough so it does not dry out but not so covered it molds! I am not sure what that means, a covered bucket with holes?

The first part is what we did. We had a tub with holes plugged into it, then a lid, that way it was covered but still didn't get moldy.
