Hello. I'm happy to be here. Contemplating getting pregnant at age 41. Husband is 46 and very wary about idea. My dream has always been wife/motherhood, which was ridiculed in the past by family members or prior relationships. Think husband is naturally concerned about age factors, financial. Says he is suppirtive but also points out less than positive factors.

I'm trying to figure out whether I should consider what he says as fear of the unknown and take the leap or put my dream aside.

Welcome to Mothering! My second child was born in my early 40s. It certainly can be done!

You might want to check out our Trying To Conceive forum: http://www.mothering.com/community/f/178/trying-to-conceive

Although 41 is outside of average, I doubt you're the only person here wanting a baby in your 40s!

Let me know if you have any questions. smile.gif
