I highly doubt I have to explain why, but it's a television show based (IMO) on toddlers being beauty pageant girls.
Toddlers and Tiaras is up there!!! I also really really disliked Jersey Shore.
There's a lot of shows that other people hate and I think most are reality type. I don't hate much because I guess I always try and look for the best in other people and such. But so much is staged or the networks help the shows/families/people that the situations are out of their normal. But there are some that are so over the top that I can't believe people will let themselves be on them.
I dislike any show that is essentially people behaving badly and getting lot of positive reinforcement for it. I am going to pretend to fight in front of my kids and say crazy things! I'm famous now! Whopee!
I'm not opposed to the idea of reality tv in a day-in-the-life kind of way. Most people are interesting, there are tons of jobs and cultures I know nothing about and I really want to know! I feel like all the "reality" attention is on all the wrong subjects or handled badly.
I watched an episode of Toddlers & Tiaras once, and it infuriated me. This was just a few months ago, when I got on a kick of watching Food Network tv.
I've never watched any shows like Jersey Shore or Big Brother. I think if I had to pick one show to hate, however, it would be The Biggest Loser. I find the entire concept degrading and exploitative, and when I voice my opinion, I usually hear what a great thing they are doing for fat people, which just makes me . Then I read this interview with a former contestant: http://www.bodylovewellness.com/2010/06/09/kai-hibbard-biggest-loser-finalist-part-1-of-3/
