Maybe just let your relative who is sick know how sorry you are about not being there. Also, are you or your SO working now? Hopefully he can help you with fines, etc from the court issues. If not try to work on a plan together so that at least one of you is bringing in a little income to take the pressure off. Try to be grateful for what you do have - misguided as it may seem at least your inlaws want to help. Maybe they can help with Christmas presents this year . Also think of all the women who can't have kids and would love to have one growing inside them. Think about how you try to raise your kids to the best of your ability and will continue with your unborn child. That's something to be proud of . Remember, life is like school, were here to learn . That's the best I can offer from my own experience . Stay strong and healthy .

The inlaws are definitely more problem than solution.  I am grateful for this little one, if a bit overwhelmed.  Just the wrong place to let it out.
