Birth bead exchange - Page 4
@granolamommie , the first post has all the directions. essentially you buy x-number of the same bead, mail it to me in a bubble envelope, and I use the same envelope with paypal postage to return it to you only with x-number of different beads inside. I think you are already on the spreadsheet.
A couple mamas were interested in a gift exchange, if you want to participate in that, just send the gift as well as your beads in the same emvelope. I'll swap the gifts around and send them to the mamas who participated.
the planned size is 3mm or about the width of a #2 pencil lead. If a sharpened pencil can get in there, a ribbon probably can as well. @granolamommie @MamaCayenne. I'm hoping everyone can find beads that big around, but no bead will be rejected. I plan to restate the main to-dos when we have a final headcount, and I'll try to tag everyone in the post.
I'm also hoping someone else finds some wooden or silicone beads so I can make a teething necklace with mine after the birth. I plan to buy my beads from the hardware store, if I can 'round to going there, in the curtains department they have lots of different size wood ones.
We'll miss you @manysplinters but I totally understand. Its a lot ot just be pregnant most days around here. :) thanks for the heads up!

@Triniity , the beads are for to remember the baby's birth by, because you collectedthem while waiting for baby to be born. At least, I think this is the idea. I made a necklace out of mine (last baby, different DDC) to wear while pregnant, and then took off the three wooden beads to make a teething necklace and used that while nursing my new baby girl. Feel free to add yourself to the doc or if you decide you do want in let me know in a comment and I can add you. :)
