Question for the group:
I borrowed the HypnoBabies booklet from a neighbor and have to return it by a certain time. I have more time to use the CDs. What is you guys' opinion: Is it okay to read the whole book before completing the actual CDs?
Britt, have you done the Fear release track yet? It might help with the being terrified part. I have the slightest touch of RLS myself and I was wondering if it was going to be an issue. Mamakell's advice seems good. Best of luck sticking with it, it does have some really good skills for being calm and handling pain.
If you can still move when your switch is off, it's okay. For some people (including myself) it helps to think of it this way; I am so comfortable and relaxed that I just don't want to move. Of course you could move if you wanted to, since all hypnosis is self hypnosis and you can always choose to accept or reject any suggestion you want to. So choose to accept the suggestion that when your switch is in the off position you are so comfortable/relaxed that you just don't want to even move. What you are experiencing is normal. I was the same way. Remember hypnosis is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, so allow yourself enjoy the process.
Britt, maybe this is an annoying obvious question, but have you been doing anything to heal the RLS? I had it with my first pregnancy and remember it had to do with a deficiency of some mineral or vitamin. I got my levels up and the RLS went away. I feel for you, I can't imagine listening to these CDs with RLS.
That makes sense in retrospect for me too... I was definitely deficient in both. I think what I actually supplemented with was magnesium (maybe with calcium) and that worked too. I've heard it's hard to get your mag levels up orally when you're pregnant so I've been trying a spray because this pregnancy I have other symptoms of mag deficiency.
