I went in for an ultrasound on Friday... I got pregnant after my first PP AF and I really have no idea when I ovulated, so the nurse wanted to get a good date.
The Tech only saw a gestational sac, and she was weird about even calling it a gestational sac, said she couldn't confirm that it was a pregnancy without a yolk sac inside... what??
Anyway, she spent a LONG time looking at my right ovary and is pretty certain it's not an eptopic pregnancy (I knew that was what she was looking for and I was freaking out, so I'm very relieved on that front).
It is very likely that I am not 6 weeks yet... I got a very, very faint positive on CD 27... I figure the earliest I could have been was 8DPO, I had blood drawn on CD 28 and my HCG was only 30 so that is pretty consistent with an early pregnancy. I think the absolute earliest I could be is 5 +3, maybe 5 +2 if my positive test was on 7DPO (is that even possible?)
Part of me feels like this could really be nothing, it is possible to only see a gestational sac at only 5 +3. But I've had a bad early ultrasound followed by a misscarriage before and i can't help but feel like "here we go again..."
The tech wouldn't tell us anything, just told us not to worry yet... that it might be too early. This was on Friday afternoon after my Drs office had closed for the weekend. I'm hoping I can get more detailed information from my Dr. tomorrow.
