Baby names? - Page 2
My grandparents were Estelle and Leander. I kind of like both of those names - or "Leandra" for a girl. So unsure. I knew my first's name before she was born with certainty (Bryelle). My second's name was "Mirabelle" the whole pregnancy and then 2 weeks to go we had a change of heart and went with "Audrey" which I love.
We're keeping our names completely secret--not even our families know. This weekend, my sister-in-law was reading off a list of the top 100 names of 2013 and she came to our favorite boy name. Just at that moment, my mother-in-law remarked that she hated that name. Her nose was all wrinkled up and everything. LOL. They have no idea that name was our choice, but it kinda seems a little ruined now... :( My mother in law went on to say that it's a good thing we weren't sharing our list, because it's completely our choice and we don't need other's opinions. Also our favorite girl name is the name of a character in a popular movie that is being remade...now it will probably get popular and everyone will think we named our baby girl after this movie.
We have a very short list of boy names: Jack, Victor, and Isaac. I'm not sure I truly like the first two though.
For girl names it's a different story. The only name I love has gotten a big "no" when I pitched it to my man. So now that Rose is out of question, I have no idea anymore. We do have Andréa to honour both his grandfather's and my great-grandmother's memories, but of course the father-to-be had to go from "I love it" to "meh" in the course of two weeks... just when I was warming up to it! The only names we both love? Alice and Charlie. One is his friend's dog, the other is his cousin's, so they are out of question too.
I hope that finding out the gender next week will make this discussion easier...
