Sleep adivce - shifting schedules?

I didn't see a sleep forum here, so I figured I'd try on the Toddler board...

My daughter is 18 months old and about a month ago, her daytime nap just became shorter and shorter - from 2+ hours to barely over an hour.  She's always been one to go to bed very early - usually between 6-6:30pm and had previously been sleeping 12 hours until 6-6:30am.

I am wondering if anyone has ever successfully shifted schedules for their toddler such that the naptime was longer and the night time sleep was shorter.  We'd be happy to have her go to sleep an hour later if it would mean she could nap closer to 2 hours during the day.

Any suggestions?

It might work if you wake her up in the morning at her usual time. I find that it takes several days of being consistent with a change like that to see results, so don't give up if it doesn't happen after a day or two. Good luck!

Thanks! Yes, definitely I figure it will take a couple weeks. I'm wondering if I should do it slowly - like 15 minutes every week until I get to a point where her bedtime is 45-60 min later.  And yes, definitely agree will wake her up the same time as usual to try to keep to schedule!
