Just had that familiar breath-taking feeling for about 30 seconds (laying on my back in bed), then it went away...I realize now I've felt about one per day for a few days, always on my back in bed, the time at night when I've just laid down and baby starts moving a lot...Isn't this (19 weeks) too early for those? Anyone else felt one yet? Should I be worried? Not painful or strong just a very slight tightening and that little rush where you catch your breath a tiny bit....
Anyone else felt a braxton-hicks yet? Should I be worried?
I have felt them already and it surprised me a little too. This is my 11th pregnancy, 7th baby so you would think I would remember when I started feeling them in previous pregnancies but I don't. I am 18 weeks. I just ignored them. I Googled it after seeing your thread and what I found said it was normal to feel them already.
I don't experience them as breath-taking, just a strong tightening in my uterus, sometimes accompanied with a nagging round ligament pain (nothing sharp, just dull and achy).
If I'm experiencing a particularly strong one, I take it as my body telling me to take it easy, so i'll rest with my feet up for an hour, and drink a glass of water.
No worries...I see BH as a good sign that my womb is rehearsing for the big day and the more practice, the better!
