Anyone else felt a braxton-hicks yet? Should I be worried?

Just had that familiar breath-taking feeling for about 30 seconds (laying on my back in bed), then it went away...I realize now I've felt about one per day for a few days, always on my back in bed, the time at night when I've just laid down and baby starts moving a lot...Isn't this (19 weeks) too early for those? Anyone else felt one yet? Should I be worried? Not painful or strong just a very slight tightening and that little rush where you catch your breath a tiny bit....

I have felt them already and it surprised me a little too. This is my 11th pregnancy, 7th baby so you would think I would remember when I started feeling them in previous pregnancies but I don't. I am 18 weeks. I just ignored them. I Googled it after seeing your thread and what I found said it was normal to feel them already.

Yep...I've been feeling them for a while now, (I'm 20 weeks, had them since probably 17 weeks) usually after walking around my (hilly) neighborhood or carrying my kiddo up and down the stairs. Also after having an orgasm :-)
I don't experience them as breath-taking, just a strong tightening in my uterus, sometimes accompanied with a nagging round ligament pain (nothing sharp, just dull and achy).
If I'm experiencing a particularly strong one, I take it as my body telling me to take it easy, so i'll rest with my feet up for an hour, and drink a glass of water.
No worries...I see BH as a good sign that my womb is rehearsing for the big day and the more practice, the better!

Ok thanks for reassurance! i googled too and found a mention of "lay on your left side," and that seems to help. Sounds like they might actually be a good thing-I was just freaking out a teeny bit (fancy me doing that!).
