I am hoping for a hospital VBA2C. I am trying to figure out which way to go with a provider, seems like both my options are three hours away unfortunately. How are you doing?
Any VBAC hopeful mamas?
I'm planning on a VBA2C at a birth center with what I'm told are the best doctors in Alaska with the highest rate of VBAC across the state. I do have to take 4 hours off in the middle of a work day in order to drive out to the city in which they work, but it's still worth it for a chance at a natural childbirth. Third's times the charm, right?
Hi mamas! I'm VBAC hopeful after my unsuccessful NUCB attempt at a hospital in 2010. I was with a wonderful midwife group and things just didn't work out for me. This time around, I'm in a new city and have researched VBAC-supportive providers and have again chosen a midwife group. I'm not comfortable with homebirth, but this group delivers at a hospital and allows water birth for VBAC patients!! I'm very excited about this option as I spent most of my labor with DS in the bath tub :)
Anyone scared to hope for a VBAC?
I am hoping for a VBA2C. I have found a supportive midwife who says we have to consult with an OBGYN. I'm still not clear if they can give they yay or nay but she says if we go with a particular OBGYN he will not try to talk me out of it unnecessarily. At first I was told that I could not have one with a midwife and I was crushed. Then I found out I could and I felt relieved but I'm still scared to get my hopes up after two failed HB and HBAC attempts. The second time I did all this preparation for labour and the HB and I never even got to try it was a bit traumatizing. The thought of another c-section is paralyzing but the thought of a VBAC just seems like an elusive dream to me at this point. I will look into the hypnobirthing.
