Weight Loss - Page 6

tilly- you should try and make freezer meals. if you can get hubby or your mom or anyone to come over and watch the kids for a day you could cook it all one day freeze it then defrost and cook when you need it. i did this before baby and we had more then a mouths worth of food. i had like 20 burritos sauces for pasta potpies and all this was homemade  . http://www.sixsistersstuff.com/2013/08/50-easy-freezer-meals.html it might help with eating better and not fast food or whatever

I did actually do a bunch of things for the freezer and we ate it all up already! It's pretty funny that most people would think I eat really healthy but there is a lot of processes junk I personally don't think is healthy. So I guess I just need to relax about it. I just wish I didn't have the weight issue in the back of my mind because I'm in survival mode right now and am really not able to focus on it.

Oh man. The leeway I give myself under the umbrella of survival mode! It is amazing.

Freezer meals are amazing though! I wish we still had a meal train from friends. greensad.gif

I cannot get over the difference in what I see in the mirror in the morning vs. evening.   In the morning I just see a slightly plumper version of the old body I remember, I look ok in clothes, I feel confident that everything's on the right track.  But then in the evenings, I'm shocked at how huge I look in the mirror, bigger in every spot on my body than I ever remember being post partum before.  It's discouraging!  What happens in the evening??

I have no idea, but I am here to offer my support and say you're not alone.

In the morning, I just look like a "softer" version of "old me", but at night I just look trussed up with rolls over my bra band, my jean's waistband, etc.  What gives?

Yeah, mornings are so much more forgiving! I've always felt like that. I think that must be what beauty sleep is really all about smile.gif

I kinda wish I had a scale- I'm impatient to make progress and to see if I'm making progress. I think I've dropped a few more pounds based on how things are fitting, but nothing spectacular, and I'm not able to wear my pre pregnancy jeans yet. I have a pair still that I bought as transitional clothes after my 2yo was born, and they are a bit loose but wearable. I need an in between size!

I'm not using the binder any more right now. The large size squeem is too big to do much of anything and a new one (even a cheaper brand) just isn't in the budget. Besides, I guess it's time to work on muscle strength and I understand that extended binding can actually hurt that. I've started doing some exercises in the evenings a couple days per week- not much, though. Really need to work on my posture! I realized recently just how bad mine has become, and I look so much better when I stand up properly. So hard to retrain myself!

30lbs down, 10lbs to go.

Oh thank god. Five more pounds came off somehow! I thought, these last 3 weeks, that the scale would never budge again. So only twenty pounds left to lose, thirty have dropped off now at five weeks postpartum. So nice to have made it past the midway mark!

Ok major wow here today- on a whim I tried on some pre preg jeans- and they fit!! Pretty comfortably, too, albeit with a little muffin top still... But I'm back in my old clothes! I thought for sure I was still heavier. No scale here so I can't check my weight, but I'm so thrilled.

I've never bounced back so quickly before. Im so excited smile.gif

You guys are doing awesome. Pre-pregnancy jeans?? Wow. I am wearing jeans three sizes bigger than normal. I'm trying not to feel depressed about it. My "Not Your Daughters Jeans" with tummy tuck technology & my Miraclebody jeans fit in my old size, though. I guess they are so VERY stretchy, so that's why. Crazy muffin top without the squeem, though. I need another 5-10 pounds gone before I can deal with the level of muffin top without getting depressed.

about a week after having the baby I was at pre pregnancy weight, now 2 months pp I am about ten lbs up and I'm finding it really hard to be positive.  I know I look awful I'm pudgier then I have ever been even when I was at this weight before.  I'm exclusively breastfeeding and I thought that would help me lose weight... guess not :(  If it wasn't for my beautiful baby girl Id be really depressed.

I'm down 20 with 12 to go.  Started exercising yesterday. I thought I was gonna die on the treadmill and today I am sore.  Back to the gym tomorrow.  Going to try and go 3x/week.  I also go back to work next week so it'll be a learning curve to fit it all in with 2 littles now.  Also Oliver isn't old enough for the childcare there yet so I have to go only when my husband is home.  Blah

Down 32 with 8 to go and I wore prepregnancy jeans for the first time yesterday. I still haven't figured out how to fit working out in with full time work and two kids at home.

Anyone else belly binding? My squeem doesn't do much anymore, I think I need a small now. But maybe three weeks was long enough to wear it...

i'm also doing belly binding, but not every day. in fact, i find the squeem quite uncomfortable when i sit down, and i'm sitting on the couch most of these days (having Sage in the carrier, trying to get stuff done on the computer in the meantime). so i only wear it every few days or so. does that even work when i wear it so infrequently?

i've lost most of the pregnancy weight in the first week PP, but have recently lost 3 more pounds. so i now have 7-8lbs to go. not that much! however, i still don't fit into most of my prepreg clothes. i'm wondering whether my body shape is different now.. eg. i tried on my prepreg jeans yesterday and they won't fit over my thighs. does anyone else have the same thing? i'm wondering whether i need to just buy new clothes, or whether i should wait a bit longer.. i'm 10 weeks PP now.

I'm now ten weeks pp and still eighteen pounds to go. Sigh. But thirty two lost so I guess it's just going to take awhile longer.
Done with the squeem, I also can't sit comfortably in it. I wish my fluffiness around my waistline would go down. Oh well, back to the gym as soon as this flu let's up!
