I had never heard of renter's insurance until now.
Our auto insurance agent has come back to dh with a reduced rate with a differnt insurance co but is also offering renter's insurance with it. Dh feeling obligated in ways is wanting us to buy it. I don't really understand why we need it. But dh possibly quoting the agent said that on a v. windy, stormy day if a window broke and the furniture has water damage or the window ledge has water seepage... that kind of thing. Our furniture is almost 10 years old. If it has any damage of any sort, I'd be going to craigs list which I didn't know about when we first bought our furniture but even so, then we wanted brand new furniture. There are great deals out there now than ever bfor.
The auto insurance will be lower whether we get this added deal or not.
