AAAH congrats to the new mamas! I'm so excited for you guys! :)
AFM, I am still plugging along - 38 weeks today, woohoo! My midwife wants me to get the evening primrose oil going in full force, so I'll likely be starting that tomorrow - I've been taking it, but not much. My little baby spends every night burrowing like a freaking rabbit in my cervix and pubic bone, and I have to say it's officially the most uncomfortable feeling from this entire pregnancy. I really hope it means I'm dilating at least some. I will get checked on Thursday, I believe - I was going to be checked Friday, but we ran out of time due to an earlier power outage at the office pushing everyone's appointments back. Fun fun! I'm also STILL getting feet in my ribs, because unlike some other babies that like to curl up in the womb, this one apparently is stretched out all over the place, according to the midwife. Awesome.
I really want to go to 40 weeks, though. I'm enjoying this time with my husband so much, and I know how much things will change after the baby comes - it'll be wonderful, but different. He, on the other hand, keeps asking me where "his" baby is. He is SO ready for her to be here - it's goddamn adorable. We actually managed to have sex last night, which I'm pretty damn proud of, honestly. He acted like I'd given him the moon, which was the sweetest thing ever.
I called my younger brother today - he's 18 and in his last semester of high school. I asked him if he'd be willing to come to our house and stay over for the 2 days that I'll be in the hospital so we have someone to watch the dog - she's just as much his dog as she is mine, my parents got her when he was about 8, so I know she'll be less agitated at my being gone if she has him there with her. I warned him he'd likely have to miss a couple days of school, and he very sweetly offered to take off an entire week to 'help me out'. HAH. I was like, kid, I'm on to you - you can't use my pregnancy as an excuse to miss that much school. Plus, I'm pretty sure his 'help' would involve eating all my food, hogging my TV and being loud when the baby is sleeping. Teenaged boys are great. :P
