Final interview tomorrow. I'm freaking beat. And I need to pump again. Hopefully Layla is hungry.

I'd have two friends off it weren't for the internet. I also am not in a place to devote the time necessary to sustain a solid IRL friendship.

And I'm also a hermit.

I think a lot of us are hermits, that's the only way we're able to keep up with this group.  :)

Incredibly true.

So Nicole, do you like the work you'd be doing there - now that you've gotten a feel for a day of work there? smile.gif

Come on, where are all the posts now that I'm not busy? greensad.gif

Joanie was our only extrovert, right? I can only handle so much toddler. If I didn't read online, I'd just be a lot smarter. Or dumber. I'll read anything. I like this group.

Nicole, way to make it through the day. Crazy woman. So hope tomorrow's interview goes well!

Joanie! I'm here. I'll be out walking for nearly an hour.

I'm pretty sure the outfit I wore to work today could've been mistaken for a yoga-esque outfit. The cross-strap bra didn't help... Oh well. I got away with it. And I was comfy as heck. I for real need to do laundry. AHHH
post #109 of 2728
Nicole, you really do deserve a lot of congratulations for getting through today. You're a superwoman. Woot woot. Sara, are you out walking by yourself? This group likes you too.
No, it's like that stroller picture, but I'm steering with my elbows and typing with my thumbs. We are walking and singing. And no one is spitting at me.

Scrubs are comfy.
LOL. That's awesome, Sara. Don't stroll any kids into the ditch on accident. You don't want to be accused of neglect. Or endangerment. Scrubs are comfy for sure. I'd give anything to be able to wear them to work every day. *sigh* I have some I wear as pj's occasionally.

Not my kids... My work is just like being a SAHM. Opposite of brain activity in my case. Part of the routine involves going for a walk. No cars, just up and down the road. Singing.

My mom is visiting tonight. Kind of came out of nowhere, but I think she just wants to see her grandchild. That should help me get through another night of DH at work. Sora was beyond unhappy last night. Transitions to toddler beds are no laughing matter... She is taking it so seriously and I had to hug her for 30 minutes at least, then read, then hug some more, then go into another room with her, then give her some water, then...then...then... It seemed like it would never end. I am the master at toddler pep talks now. She can't possibly be afraid of a bed after my pep talks, right?! ......

Lol, hopefully grandma makes it all better. I've never done toddler beds. Bedtime has been awful at my house the last 3 nights. They just take turns staying up late. I doubt they'll be in bed when I get home at 9:30.

Oh, Ash, I looked into you epi problem. All I could find is that you can get coupons from the manufacturer, there are generics available and cosco is among the cheapest places to get it. I feel like a research failure.

Hey, everyone came back!  Joanie, I feel you on the laundry... with our broken machine, I've been spreading laundry out as far as I can and then taking it to my neighbor's house.  So I've been wearing the same shorts and shirts for days in a row.  Lovely.   Any sleep changes are challenging, IME.  We'll be transitioning Avery to another room and his own bed soon... in the next several months.  Maybe after all the holiday company leaves, so maybe several more months.  Not sure, but it's coming.  It will be amazing to get back to having my own room again and knowing that it will be that way from now on as there will be no more babies!!

Good luck at your interview tomorrow, Nicole!  I hope you can empty your breasts and get some rest!  And I agree, you are a wonder woman for doing this so soon pp.

Sara, no go on the ex-DP update?  Sorry you were feeling stressed earlier.  I like this group and you, too!  :blowkiss  Watch out, I'm virtually hugging you!

Amanda, how is your commute home/evening going?

Ash, are you on cup #89 of coffee yet?  I don't know much about the ins and outs of public food assistance, but I am wondering if you might be able to get in on some bulk food purchasing in your area.  I have some very frugal friends that buy like 50 pound bags of rice and beans (etc.) and split it up and make meals out of that for months.  Of course fresh produce is another matter, but you might be able to get some good deals on end of season fruits/veggies and freeze them for the coming months.  I know around here, there are a bunch of free apples to be had by people that are just done picking them.  I saw an ad on CL's just yesterday for someone ripping out their acres of tomatoes for the season and they were free to anyone that would come take them off the vines.  Not sure if these are at all helpful ideas...

I don't even have enough energy to read all your posts, LOL. Just know that I'm here, trucking along.

It's pissing outside right now.

As far as liking this new job, I don't think there will ever be a job I like as much as my current job (And scrubs rock, Sara. I concur.), but family comes first and you gotta do what you gotta do. I honestly will probably stay at my current job one weekend a month or so just to still be there. I haven't decided.

I really like my job. LOL If only they paid better.

Horray for toddler beds and interview survival and singing walks! Boo for laundry.

I left early today for a conference with Jasper's teachers. It went well. He appears to be a bit behind socially, but I'm not worried. He did well in speech therapy this morning. Dd1 is feeling awful after getting some shots yesterday, so I'll be working from home tomorrow to stay with her. My house looks like a tornado hit it and I have to work after I get J to bed because I have to get something out tonight. So pretty much my answer to how I am is always busy. Sigh. Lol.

Thanks for the research! I couldn't really deal with it today because my brain hurts, but I am going to call the manufacturer tomorrow and see if they have options or whatnot. Our currents don't expire for 2 months so I have a bit to figure it out.

Nicole, nap. Beer and nap.

Contemplating drinking a cup of coffee to give me the mental focus to write a paper........ but it's 7:00pm........ Is it worth it....... Hmm.

Back away from the coffee, Joanie!
