"Yeah, I don't have a suitcase full of drugs or anything. Just waiting for a friend. Not a "business partner" or anything." :wink

Running: I'm considering one of these for my car.

That sounds fun (minus the allergy worries). Where is it?

Jaimee, glad you got out for a run. Someday maybe I'll be a runner (or a triathlete!)

Mal-do you knit or crochet?

No ideas on toys, I think MIL is getting J a leap pad. Maybe I won't have to fight him for my iPAD anymore (ha ha). We're going to be quiet for his bday this year. I think maybe DH and I will take him to the Children's Museum and then do a little party with family at Thanksgiving. He's getting a play kitchen from my mom and we're getting him some accessories for that.

Slept a little better last night without medication, although I'm open to taking something because I need sleep. It's not looking like I"m oign to be able to take the job I was offered, the pay cut is too steep. Darn. Enough about that for now cause I don't need to get all emotional.

Price range?

Here's a link to kids' tablets, with prices arranged from low to high. http://www.walmart.com/browse/kids-electronics/kids-tablets/4171_1096069_1096121/?_refineresult=true&browsein=true&catNavId=1096069&facet=age%3APreschool+%26+Toddler&fromPageCatId=1096069&ic=48_0&path=0%3A4171&povid=cat1096069-env457079-moduleA100113-lLinkLHNTablets&search_sort=4

I edited my signature from my profile. Added in the numbers and put the emoticon of the baby on the week of pregnancy I'm on.

Mal, when are you going to be there?

My cousin is fine. 8lbs9oz, 21" long.

I wanted to be on the road right now... My friend isn't here yet. I'm a little annoyed.

Thanks for the link!

And I'm totally getting that sticker! DH, MIL, and both my older kids run 5k's and halfs. It will be hilarious to put it on my car.

I have no idea who posted anything because I can only see ambers screen name right now. Strange.

Amber, which children's museum?

Ash, DD1 had a Fisher Price iXL at around this age. It was easier for little hands to use than the LeapPad she has now. And that thing took a beating and kept right on working. Maybe something like that?

Nicole, I get into town next Thursday night and leave Sunday morning.

We went to the Tacoma Children's Museum when we visited in July.  :thumb  They kids had a lot of fun.  We also went to the one in Everett, which was bigger.

The one in Everett is way bigger, and has that awesome play area on the roof! But the one in Tacoma will do lol.gif

Mal, Thursday is Conner's birthday then I go back to work Friday and work during the day on Saturday and Sunday.

I can come Friday, but it'd have to be a morning/early afternoon thing. I have to leave for work around 445/5p, so I couldn't be there any later than 2p.

So if you're cool with a daytime thing, I can come down.

We're in Chattanooga, 5 hours away. We're doing our first stop now. Passenger of mine is hungry. Both kids have been sleeping since we left but Conner just woke up.

Nicole, how are you feeling about going back to work? Prepared? Is this the new place now?

Regarding the privacy of this group... looks like Cynthia hit a wall.  The development team has no intention of making private groups a priority and they cannot give us a private forum as a DDC, apparently.  So, there you have it.  It sounded to me like most core members are interested in moving to a different platform to get more privacy.  To be sure of this, should we do an anonymous survey or something, to put it to a vote?  I'd really prefer not to do research on a new platform if we end up deciding that staying here is fine.  But if we're all pretty serious about this, then we'd need to check out different sites and then we could vote on that, too.

Thoughts?
