21 for the week

And 138 for the month. I think I need to stop editing.

Helicopters over the house again...

It's a good thing we're not looking at snap numbers. If my phone worked consistently, I could catch up with Nicole way faster.

Just start posting the alphabet.  And you could win.  :lol

How are things going Sara?  Aside from the terrifying crime rate.

Im compulsively crafting to keep from stress eating.

I know, right? 140 isn't that big a lead. Maybe I'm too competitive for a no-prize prize.

They had a movie in the park one Saturday night, to curb summer youth violence. One night out of the whole summer. That's going to keep the kids busy.  Yeah buddy.

I'm ok. The kids are having a sleepover and I made 4 pizzas and tacos for the 6 kids and 2 adults. I have 2 pizzas left but the tacos were all eaten. 5 of the 6 kids voted for pizza, so I'm not sure how that happened.

You aren't that far behind now with the 2468 posts you just did back to back. LOL
post #407 of 2728

I'm trying! I'm posting in all my other threads, too!

Oh no! It doesn't update in real time! How will I ever know if I pass you? I'm not ambitious, I just want today.

LOL I feel obligated to respond but if I do, you won't catch up.

What other threads, CHEATER?!?! =(

I wish you loved us.

LOL, Sara. Funny about the pizzas. Sad about the movie in the park cause...

We went to the mall tonight to walk around and get dinner. Sora loved it. Such a good time. I was pretty disheartened sitting a few tables away from these three kids, though... They were eating alone. I mean literally alone. There wasn't even any sign of parents, and the kids had to all be under 10 years old. The parents finally came around like a half hour later, and they were completely ignoring the kids... Nobody talked to each other except when the dad made an antagonizing face at the girl. The little girl sat back and looked like she was going to cry... Meanwhile, I'm sitting there loving on Sora and interacting a ton and feeling so dang upset that those children were clearly more neglected in their everyday lives than just what I saw tonight. brokenheart.gif

Kirsten, I'm very sorry you had such a rough day! :Hug

DH just poured some wine. Going to watch Miley Cyrus make a fool of herself on Saturday Night Live here shortly. Haha.

Should I be proud or ashamed that I'm one of the top posters on MDC..... I just love you guys THAT MUCH! :wink

If I loved you any less, I'd have a lower post count!

It gets weird here. Go to http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1390805/october-2013-chit-chat/420#post_17478185 and check out Ash's prom dress and then read from there.

Not to be sassy, but a lot of kids at the mall don't want their parents around. I know I didn't.

I love the movie Hancock.

Is that with Will Smith?

Oh, I could spot those kinds. This wasn't one of those cases... They were three young siblings not saying a word, just sitting there silently eating pizza with their heads down. They looked sad. That's what got to me, I think. They looked very sad and maybe bored. DH said it looked like the parents dropped them there as a free "babysitter" while they did their thing.

And another thing... There were teenage couples in the mall all formally dressed (homecoming maybe?) and I grabbed DH's arm to tell him, "Sora will NEVER leave our house dressed like that." Holy crap... I remember the dresses girls wore in my high school days, and some may have showed a bit of skin but this was like WHOA across the line... Dresses completely exposing the back all the way down to almost the crack... Length was so short it was almost up to the crotch... What ever happened to simple classy formal wear? It doesn't have to cover a lot but it sure doesn't have to be slutty in design. Wowza. faint.gif My kid is going to test my patience. I can feel it.

Wah ha ha ha ha! I need to find a picture of both my prom dress (junior year) and my prom tux. Surely someone still has them. My dress had a totally open back and showed my farmer's tan. What did you wear?
