That was cool @tabitha ! How awesome that you have a video of that! Congrats on the girl!

my DP keeps getting me random bad for me food cravings that i mention...like corn dogs, pie,. and ice cream. He'll ask me, do you want me to get that. I say no, I can not eat every piece of junk food I think of, i'm trying to eat healthier for this baby now that I am not really sick all that often.

Then he brings it home anyway, all proud like a puppy. DANGIT...and of course once it's in the house there is no way i can not eat said bad for me stuff....i have repeated over and over again no...i mean it's sweet and i'm not really mad at his as such, it's just so frustrating to have him so sweetly undermining my trying to be healthy.

lol so that's my random, overly dramatic complaint for the day. lol

Yes, I stay clear from Sonic, I would blow my piddly gas budget on corn dogs and cherry coke. They really have the best ice for crunching

@Selissa at least it's him who is undermining you! You could be undermining yourself! Hmm... last night I took my daughter with me to a meeting I had. Afterwards she asked about desert, you know, since she was so good at the meeting. My thoughts: why, yes, I do believe we need some Mint Oreos. We shall go to the grocery store this minute and buy them. We were eating them in the car on the way home. Couldn't even wait to get home to open the package!!

I was rubbing my belly before bed and felt a hard bit crowded to one side so I poked it and got kicked! First time I've felt it externally! :D:D

oh i do plenty of undermining myself lol. so i have been trying to cut down on my sugar intake...so i got chocolate lucky charms (malt o meal version) instead of ice cream...that's maybe better? maybe not. dang. lol

Beckily that is adorable. i have noticed in the last couple days the squirms have been transitioning to the tiniest little tap kicks and punches. so precious. the hormones and the baby kicks are making me embarassingly baby swoony right now

I was all snuggled up, nursing my toddler and getting kicked. It was pretty baby swoony ;)

And nice substitution! ;)

So great to come on here and read all the joys and funny experiences we are all having. I needed that after the talk I just had at work where the HR person said they were sorry but had told me they had misunderstood the pregnancy leave and how benefits would be covered. Long story short, these were exactlysome of  my concerns about having a baby in the first place. I had a good cry on the phone with my husband, nothing like being overwhelmed and hormones to get you needing to get a good cry out. I really wish I didn't have to come back to work.

Steffanie you mentioned you were waiting to hear about insurance too - I hope that gets resolved quickly! I hope for everyone these work/finance/health care transitions are smooth.

In other news I have been given some girl baby clothes and I fear that I am going to dress this little girl super girly. I always thought I was pretty gender neutral when it came to clothes. I dressed my son in colorful play clothes- but some of these items are so cute, I am catching the pink bug!

Can't believe we are almost half way there!

For ten years my employer has offered excellent insurance that covers nearly all of childbirth. Until the year I'll be giving birth. My hospital started it's own high deductible coverage company for next year! So now it's gonna be almost $3k out of pocket for me to deliver! and thank goodness I can keep my Aflac coverage because the short term disability coverage my employer replaced it with is a joke! I nearly cried at work yesterday finding that out. I've had weeks of crying about the insurance...
So I feel your pain! Luckily I really love my work and it's uplifting in nature and usually, until now, I love my hospital. I was hoping to stay home 6 months but we'll see :-\

Oh no @merialiss ! That stinks about the insurance change over! Of course that would be the timing of it, right? Ugh!

My dreams are crazy. Last night my dreams featured an IT man I work with and while we never physically did anything, man was it intense. Attraction, looks, working together, etc. Makes it awkward when I will see him this morning!

Hey mommas!  Anyone getting their anatomy scan these days?  I am 20 weeks today and we went in for our this morning. Baby is looking perfect - measures 20 weeks exactly, and weighs 12oz. And to top it all off - it's a BOY!  We couldn't believe it! We had prepared ourselves for a girl, since we have two already. We are so overjoyed!!!

Congrats, planegreen!  A lot of us 3rd time moms are getting our opposite this time... so fun!  Boys are awesome!

Congrats on the boy, @planegreen !! My anatomy scan is tomorrow afternoon with the Perinatologist. If that's all normal and fun then I'll schedule my next appointment with a new OB practice, one with midwives :) I can't wait to ditch my knife-happy OB (so long as I don't need her...a little superstitious about this whole thing...and the more I consider concretely preparing for delivery, the more I realize how much denial I'm in! I like the solo practice feel with this OB but she does not trust vaginas and I don't really trust her not to bully me or even trick me into a c/s. But if an outside source tells me something weird is up with this kid (previa, etc) wherein I might legit need a c/s then I don't wanna go. I like the practice, just not the OBs for vag deliveries...if that makes any sense at all).

So...unlike all my other appts where I was counting the hours, I keep forgetting this one. What's up with that?!?! I hope it cause I'm feeling movement regularly so I'd like to just be left alone now, thanks :)

MA <--- who is a nut job!:bouncy

planegreen - I have been having the craziest dreams too! and something similar recently actually. A police officer from a crime scene I had to process was in my dream and we were getting married! That was the first time we had even met (thankfully we don't work together in the same office or something). but at the last minute my hubby swooped in and we ran away together LOL happy ending :-)

and congrats on the boy!!

merialiss - I feel ya on the insurance issues too. We conceived with my first postpartum cycle (my daughter is 2 1/2). I was happy to get my cycle back and start charting but we conceived right away (not entirely planned) so my EDD will be cutting it close to my 1 year mark at my new job and I may not even qualify for the FMLA time off. :-( so we'll have to see. I might just have to request a leave of absence after the disability time.

Yay, Planegreen!! That is fantastic!! You must be so overjoyed! We were thrilled when we found out we were getting an opposite as well!! I only have 8 days until my anatomy scan, wow. I can't wait until that is behind me and I can hopefully relax completely!! I am feeling optimistic though, so that is good.

Oh my goodness, on the subjects of dreams again, I had the most horrible dream!! My DS2 had an injury, and I went to go tell my DH about it, as I was so worried. Well, the bizarre thing is I left DS1 and DS2 alone in a hotel room or something to do that, and then found DS1 on the way back, but when got there, DS2 was gone, and I was terrified!! It was a horrible dream that woke me up and left me with a horrible feeling!! Pregnancy dreams are not really fun. :/

Oh, and also on the subject of totally random pregnancy-related things, I went to the dentist today and she said my teeth were a little loose. Apparently, along with everything else that gets loosened up in your body (from relaxin), there is some ligament holding your teeth in tightly! She said it was normal in pregnancy but was just noticing it. Bizarro!!

I'm loving reading all the updates joy.gif I have had three epidurals now, I could definitely live without the feeling of a needle in my spine again and appreciate the pros of a natural birth. I'm trying to convince myself that the 4th baby will come so fast and I could endure the pain, but just thinking about it cold.gif I've never gotten to the ring of fire part who can tell me more? I've been thinking about what if I wait too long... I actually look forward to the maternity stay at the hospital, do you still get to stay if you have the baby in the car on the way?
