ShyingViolet~ Does your 2 year old seem to understand about the baby? A few people had the Baby Egg count down calendar in my DDC that they shared with their little kids. I got one for my midwife and she told me at the 6 week check up that they'd been getting a lot of use out of it. I did before and after school care for a few years before Stephanie was born. It felt so good to quit! I found that when I was pregnant, my patience was thin, especially with other people's kids. I was supposed to go back to it, but I like the flexibility I have now... I can meet DD at her school and give her the option of going straight home by herself, or walking with me to get DS. My son just started middle school and it's a farther walk so some days it helps him get out the door in the morning if he knows I'm coming to meet him after school.
lovemylab~ It's amazing how even a little bit of stress can affect people. We hadn't tried for super-long, only 5 months or so, but we were in a too-small house and moved to where we are now in anticipation of Stephanie. I got pregnant after the papers were signed but before we moved AND we were skipping trying that month because we didn't want a December baby. The timing of BD was total crap!
