I realize this is kind of stupid and really a non-issue in the grand scheme of things but my skinny, white, harry potter/star wars loving comic book nerd son gets all upset when I wont let him wear brands like Tapout and Southpole. I have nothing really against those brands (or other adult and urban brands) but I just don't want my kid wearing them. I don't like the showiness of them or the lifestyle they portray(and if you google image them how they portray women) and more than that its just not us or him. We get a bunch of hand-me-downs from an older nephew and they are all great except for a few urban branded stuff shoved in there that goes straight to our donation pile. I just don't know how to explain why I don't want him wearing them without knocking his friends who do wear those types of clothes. I mean I know they are JUST clothes. I just don't like it. But he's too old to just insist he wear Hanna Anderson and Chuck Taylors forever. and my dumbass by SAYING they aren't allowed has now made an issue about it.
