I am an ex-vegan and a bigtime fruit eater. I live in Hawaii and there is fresh fruit everywhere, year round. I also spent 4 years as a 100% raw fruitarian. YES, an extreme diet, that in the long run made me extremely depleted. I eventually just went to cooked veganism and relied on potatoes a lot but my health issues just got worse and worse.
Which brought me to paleo/traditional foods. I spent 8 years without ANY meat so I'm anxious. I just changed diets a week ago and am unclear about carb intake. I like to go on bike rides and run as well as work out doing body weight exercises. I have added in animal flesh, bone broths and fish, but I am still eating a lot of fruit. I can't seem to help it, I crave it, my body is used to it and I am still doing a lot of cardio . I love the feeling I get during cardio.
Any advice on what I should do? Should I reduce my fruit intake to take my carbs lower? Should I keep my carbs up so that I can bike ride?
