Team Blue for us! So excited for my second boy. I thought my first boy would be excited, but he said, "Ummmm....I want another sister, so I'll like him if he's a girl." It's like, "Well, he's not, so get used to it!" I'm sure it'll be fine.

@Calirose I'm also a Michelle from California (currently southern, though I used to live in northern close to San Francisco). We're due right around the same time too. I think in my first post I said June 17, but officially it's now June 19. We have basically the same list of hobbies too except I don't know how to embroider and I don't enjoy swimming unless sitting in the spa counts. :)  Congratulations!

Hi All!

im a bit of a late comer to this group - just found it now!

I am Canadian and live in Kelowna, BC but was born and raised in Saskatchewan. I have a 5 yr old boy who will be 6 in July, a little girl who will be 2 in April and this wee one that is due June 24.

My first was born in Saskatchewan where there was no midwives at that time so it was a standard hospital/epidural delivery. Very quick and way to easy. My Second was actually born in Victoria at home after a very long labour (she was twisted in the birth canal). My third will be born at the birth suite at our midwives office which is a house.

Both my husband and I work from home running our own business which has its plus' and its minus' but overall its great to have the flexibility. Our business is all things health and we consult with clients from around the world which is super fun. When I'm not working and chasing little feet you can find me out with the ladies touring the different wineries around town or dining at different restaurants. I love to be active and plan to run my first triathlon next year but also love to be lazy on the beach.

None of my kids are vaccinated including my 10 yr old lab. Our oldest attends Waldorf school in Kindergarden and we love, love. love it....from what I have read its very slack compared to other Waldorf schools. Both kids are into all things sports and outdoors and as busy as kids should be:)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome MBH :) I'm originally from BC, but have lived in Ontario for 26 years now. Hoping to one day head West again, but with DH's industry we'll likely only get as far as Alberta.

I don't think I updated here -- but babies are both boys. DS alternates between thrilled and annoyed (thrilled b/c little sister can be annoying some times, and annoyed b/c he's uncertain about his toys, his space, sharing etc -- they'll be 7 years younger than he is).

Hi all!
I feel like I am very late to this party but I have been reading some of the posts here for a little while, learning so much!
I'm Yucchi from New England. Expecting a baby girl with an EDD of 6/21. I'll be 40 by then and this will be my first little one. Right now we are calling her Daisy.

It was a long, 6 year road to get here and I must admit it still feels very surreal. On the one hand we can't wait to meet her, on the other we can't even comprehend yet all the ways our quiet life is about to change! I think I've been afraid that if I start to do or think to much about all this it won't be real. Silly, I know, but true.

I currently work part-time but plan to be home full time once Daisy arrives.
I would love to homeschool, hubby is unsure.

Hobbies: Crochet, sewing, reading, cooking, sometimes other art.

@JohannaInDairyland , my son called it as a girl from day one as well! Actually, on the day before we even found out I was pregnant he picked a fairy wand from his treasure box as school and told his teacher it was for his baby sister that was going to grow in his mommy's belly. :)

Congrats on the baby girl!!

That's amazing! What's up with these big brothers? How did they get the information right from the start? :)

Please update me to team pink! We had our a/s on Wednesday, but had the tech put the information in an envelope. We went out to dinner tonight and opened the envelope, and I even managed to fight back the tears! We are SO EXCITED, and were both thinking it's a girl. So happy right now!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Ayla, I live on Vancouver Island, and I am due June 9. This is my first! I chose not to get an ultrasound so we will be surprised with gender when baby is born. I am a doula and a placenta encapsulation specialist and I am having a home birth. I am super passionate about natural pregnancy and birth and trusting our bodies. I look forward to meeting all of you.
