I am a mother of three beautiful girls & I know I have been very blessed. I was not trying to conceive, on birth control. with any of my last pregnancies. & God blessed me with 3 beautiful girls anyways.smile.gif I was wondering if anyone would have advice on how to conceive a boy? I was thinking if I actually plan the next baby then it might sway towards a boy this time. I'm starting to keep track of ovulation time. I was thinking about trying pre-seed with baking soda before on my ovulation day. What is the ph supposed to be bc obviously I'm too acidic. Suggestions please from those that know.smile.gif

Hello! I too am going to attempt to conceive a boy as well. I have a 10 year old daughter at the moment. All of my family has been trying to conceive a boy for over 40 years now haha. I would like to know about the pre-seed with baking soda?

Have you thought about trying to eat more alkaline foods? I've been reading that is suppose to help. I also read on another forum that there is suppose to be ph strips you can use to help as well.

Yes. I've researched it all. I think it would be a good idea to get ph strips, that way I know exactly my ph level. Not sure yet though when I'm going to start this venture. I want to have everything right, foods, ph, position, ovulation day, etc. it seems quite stressful. Hmm...

I've heard more boys are born during times of "plenty". Thus was born the "high everything diet".

Their are many "tricks" that can higher your chances of having a boy. The male sperm swim faster but they also don't live as long as female sperm. The number one key thing is to have sex the day before ovulation as well as the day of. Try not to have sex the 3 or 4 days before the day of ovulation so their are less chances of the female sperm being the only ones still swimming when you release your egg.

Also, have sex doggy-style. This gives your man more control of how far in he is when he ejaculates. The deeper in the less the sperm have to travel. This will give the male sperm plenty of time to get there first.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

This has actually been proven false.

I guess it is 50/50 chance no matter what then.maybe it has to do with my cervical mucus and the male sperm being more fragile in the wrong ph environment.
