night terrors in toddler, please help!

Hi I apologize if if this is in the wrong place. We don't cosleep with our toddler anymore, haven't been for a long time, and he was sleeping fine for a while. However tonight we had our first episode of night terrors. Twice in one night. Has anyone's toddler been through this? Anything that you recommend that dh and I should/shouldn't do? The first one didn't last very long like the second one. It seemed like the more we tried to comfort him the more mad he'd get. My dh slept walk a lot when he was a child so I don't know if that's related. He usually sleeps through the night, and wakes up happy. He's two but will be three in a few weeks. Anyway tia for any advice or input.

My 3.5 year old has an episode every night at the same time. Like you, I discovered early on that more intervention makes things worse. I do go in to her, but I generally just stay quietly by her side until she snaps out of it. There's generally a brief moment where I can tell she finally sees me, then she falls back asleep as though nothing happened. For a while I went crazy trying to figure out what was wrong, and it really made things worse. Good luck. I know it's hard to see your kid upset like that.
