:) If its any consolation, her labors go quite smoothly once her water breaks. This last baby was only 5 days late because they decided to just get going with the program since it worked so well the last 4 births. They waited 5 days because her babies tend to not look "overdue" even when over 2 weeks "late", and they didn't want to bring out the baby before he was done. According to my friend's MW, a tilted uterus is a common reason for mamas to run late.
I am considering a similar plan this time, if for totally opposite reasons. My labors go so fast that getting anyone to me in time is not necessarily an option. While a midwife present is not necessary, technically, DH and I are more comfortable if she can be there. So we are talking picking a time when my contractions get going (sometime when my body is clearly ready), and doing a natural induction that would involve breaking my water. Like my friend's situation, this has some risks, so we are prayerfully considering to do it or not, but so does just waiting and hoping everyone (including my cell phone) is close enough when my 45 minute window begins. If its anything like last time we should have our pick of weeks 38-41, baby was actually at a +1 station by the beginning of that period. Awkward to walk around with but a definate sign.
