Having trouble posting in "Site Help" - I know this isn't the right forum

I tried to post this in site help, but it wouldn't let me:

I posted a question more than 48 hours ago (I think:eyesroll) but it hasn't been answered.

Who owns Mothering.com?

Thanks!

Also,  "site help" still isn't accepting my posts there.  I tried again this morning.  When I hit submit, nothing happens.  And yes, I did tag the thread.  Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I know that the new member posts usually get some feedback, so I tried it here.

OK, honestly, site help hates me.  I've tried posting there - and I even switched browsers.  When I hit submit, nothing happens.

Can someone just answer my question here?

I can't post anywhere but this forum, and no one seems to want to help. :/

Hi there @Gooseberry  Site Help is a moderated fourm, which means that your posts are reviewed prior to being answered.

@dimples41479 I got your PM this morning regarding not being able to post.  I am checking your settings. :)

I'm going to move this over to Site Help, so I can further help you both out.

@Gooseberry, I'm sorry for the delay in answering your question.

@dimples41479 I'm not seeing anything in your settings that would be hindering your posting.  What is happening when you try to post?

I knew that, and I posted the question, I believe, successfully once.  But several days went by and I didn't get a response (more than 48 hours passed) so I tried posting again. Nothing would happen when I hit submit.

And do you have an answer for my question?  Who owns mothering.com?

Thanks!

Hi. Sorry just got back here, had to run kids around today. smile.gif

Mothering is a privately owned site that is run and operated on the Huddler platform. Huddler's technology powers many other online communities focused on specific areas of interest. You can check out some of the other sites here: http://www.huddler.com/site-showcase/

So does the owner not want to be known?  Is it a company?  An ididvidual?

Because Huddler is not the owner, right?

i'm interested in knowing the answer to that question, too ....

Hi thank you so much! Basically, it's just not doing anything. When I hit submit it just ignores me and doesn't do a thing. I've tried in 3 different forums and all the same.

Domain by proxy is a company who specializes in hiding who the owner of a website is so I guess the owner does want to remain hidden. The server is on huddler.

I just wonder, now that Peggy O'Mara doesn't own it, who does.  It kind of weirds me out that the owner isn't known.  It makes me formulate all kinds of conspiracy theories...

I am sure it isnt hard to find out who owns it. Nothing is private on the internet. smile.gif

what kind of theories?

i don't imagine any theories, i'm just rather curious

& since beforehand the owner was publishing her photo on the website ... i was kind of expecting the same level of open-ness, frustrated then ....

I have a more than slight mistrust of the internet and internet marketing.  My conspiracy theory involves Mothering being bought by a parent company that doesn't, in their other business endeavors, uphold the same values that I have and the values that I associate with Mothering Magazine.

@AdinaL is that all the info you have?

The owner wishes to remain private. The staff is the same and we have a lot of autonomy to be consistent with Mothering's long-standing mission.

thank you for your reply AdinaL.
