I've gained like 11 lbs, which I'm thankful for. I think I might gain around 35 like I did last time. Hopefully!

Yeah I gained almost 45 last time and I didn't lose the last 15 ever, so I'm really hoping not to gain them again this time!! lol I have no idea how my weight has stayed so low since I haven't been watching what I eat, but I guess having a toddler helps in even small ways!

I am having a hard time gaining weight. I weighed 129 when I got pregnant, then lost some weight due to major nausea in the first trimester, and now I'm almost 20 weeks and I'm back to about 129. I do eat! I don't know why I'm not gaining much. I'm not exactly the most active person in the universe, either, though I have been trying to make myself get a little more that way. My next appointment is next Wednesday, I'm sure I'll hear about my weight. Sigh.

19w3d. Not certain how much weight I've gained. I don't think it's alot, I had only gained 4 lbs when I went to my 15 week appointment, and I don't really feel bigger than that at this point. I do feel slower though.

I've gained 20lbs! redface.gif With my other kids I know how I ended up gaining 50lbs. Ben? Jerry? remember me?! This time I've been eating so much better, I thought. I was super concerned at first b/c I really didn't want to go there again, but I'm almost over it at this point.

Seriously, don't feel bad. I ballooned out 70 lbs with my 2nd! For a 5'4" woman, that's a lot of extra weight to suddenly have! I really didn't eat too bad back then, but I think it was from when I was on the depo shot, it messed with my body. I got off of it after becoming pregnant and miscarrying and then pregnant with her 8 weeks later.

I was gaining 1lb a week which was kinda scary so I stopped weighing myself, but still feel like I am gaining the same 1lb a week. Which at 23 weeks this weekend I have probably gained 23lb so far....with my first I only gained 28lb in the whole pregnancy!

I feel a lot slower, like I have to walk slower already and get out of breath easily which sounds unhealthy :(

Gaining a pound a week is average for the 2nd & 3rd trimesters, but not normal in the first .... however, it will give you a bit a buffer if you find it hard to eat enough as your stomach gets squished!

That's what I'm counting on ... since I eat very well 90% of the time, but have always, pregnant or not, eaten when hungry and stopped when I'm not ... and at 22.5weeks ... have gained 32lb. Now .. there's twins in there, but that's still a lot! According to most of the online calculators & charts, I should expect to gain 1.5lb a week from now on ... I'm really hoping that's NOT the case, as I think I'll tip over! I can't even imagine what 60lb of pregnant weight on my 5'4"self would do -- screw up my center of gravity by a lot, at the very least!

SynEpona, I think you are at the ideal weight gain for twins! According to dr luke's book, she recommends 38lbs by 28 weeks. I don't have much exposure to twin mothers, but I talk to a mother at my daughter's school who had twins 20 years ago-vaginal birth at birthing center and it sounds crazy high, but she gained 70lbs. She said she nursed them and had lost more weight than she gained by 4 mos postpartum, and really recommend gaining a lot:)
I've gained 50 pounds each of my previous pregnancies, and am having a really hard time gaining now. I've gained maybe 15 lbs, but my body definitely looks crazy pregnant already. It is hard to imagine how crazy I'm going to look in another 21 weeks:/ I have also been active on the parenting multiples forum-you should check it out:)

As posted on FB.  I really wanted any photo with the eggplant, but have a few weeks at this size to get a better picture.

Here I am at about 22 weeks and 2 days. Where is this baby?! haha, I can feel him constantly I know he's in there, but he's not really showing too much yet, as this is only slightly bigger than my normal, overweight belly.  I've gained about 5 pounds as of this week- started at 175, so I'm hoping to not gain too much anyway. Feeling great, but am amazed at how much bigger my fellow pregnant friends are at this stage than I am. My sister in law has a similar frame to myself, and she wore her baby the same. Didn't get really big til the very end. Perhaps I'll be the same!

Wow, that eggplant really puts it into perspective! I can't believe how big they are already. :)

This Fri makes 24 weeks for me, the age of viability. Love that milestone!

Almost 21 weeks! I'm feeling random movements throughout the day now, even on the outside at times. I was worried that having an anterior placenta would prevent me from feeling much of anything.
