Who's Due July 2014? - Page 2
Hi, again. I can't shake feelings of concern. I got my BFP at 9 days dpo, and was thrilled. I am 40, and I did have 3 losses before my 9.5 year old DS. I spoke to the doctor, a well regarded maternal-fetal medicine specialist, on Saturday, and he was talking about the possibilities of chemical pregnancies, etc...
Also, he raised my progesterone from 100 mg to 400 mg! It is divided into twice/day, but a bit after I take it, I am wiped out for a while. I am not safe to drive (I even needed a ride home from the grocery this weekend and left my car), and really can hardly stay awake. It has to be twice/day, and I can't afford to be hit by it during work, so, today I am going to try taking it 30 minutes before leaving the office, and then waking at around 3:00 a.m. for the second dose.
Aside from stuff from the progesterone, I thought I was getting more symptoms, such as nausea, but now I don't think I am, which worries me. Plus, what if the low dose of the bipolar meds I'm still on cause something bad to happen (yes, it is with the doctor's ok, but...).
I will be going for a quantitative hcg test at the end of the week. Then, on December 6th, we get our first ultrasound...checking for "viability." I want my baby (babies? for some reason, I can't get the possibility of twins out of my head) to be okay. At the moment, I am a worried mama.
Thank you for reading. My dp is very supportive and very much wants this, but he is not very concerned and he also sees early pregnancy different that I do.
I also tried red raspberry leaf tea, and felt a bunch of contractions for a while, so I am going to wait to try that again. Should I have a plain nettle tea, do you think?
As you can see, my thoughts are all over the place, but very much orbiting the life in my uterus.
Kittymom, I'm sure a lot of us can relate to the worry. It is really hard having so little control over this. Did taking the bigger dose work out OK with you at work today so far?
ugh, Kittymom, that sucks about the progesterone. I didn't know it had that effect, but I guess it makes sense.
And congrats, cluelessLily! We have sort of matching names!
It looks like my EDD is around July 15th, though technically July 13 because I have a shorter cycle. I'm fine with the later date though for maternity leave reasons, etc. I have my daughter's 15 month appointment tomorrow, so I'll ask my doctor any questions then and I'll probably call our midwifery group this week to make an appointment for around 9 weeks. Any other plans yet?
Hi Mamas!! I have an edd of 7.10. This will be baby number 4 for us. We have three girls who will be 7,5, and just turned 3 when baby arrives. I don't know if I am hoping for a boy or not. I know girls, and adding a boy to the mix freaks me out a little bit. ;)
We actually thought we were done having kiddos, but apparently plans have changed. I am 38 years old and I went through a miscarriage in April of this year, so I am a little gun shy this time around.
Can't wait to get to know you all!! And wishing you all wonderful and healthy pregnancies!
Hi everyone!! Pregnant with #2 here due around July 4-5th. I don't see my midwife til December 10. No real symptoms for me other than having to pee a lot, but this is normal for me. I never really had symptoms with #1. I had a CP in August so I am a little nervous, but I am just trying to take care of myself and hope for the best. Let's hurry up and get that due date club open!! Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Yay!! It looks like we got our DDC! http://www.mothering.com/community/groups/show/60/july-2014-due-date-club
Thank you Kitty! I just joined! I am happy to hear that I'm not the only one with the veggie aversion!
