cowsmootoo, welcome! Yeah, DS is clingy! We've been using the Ergo a lot again so I can get stuff done while still carrying him. He wakes up in the morning and asks for the backpack. Cute, yes. And also a little wearying.
15 lbs isn't terrible, Cat. I would worry too because, you know, I worry about everything no matter what; but if you're 8-10 weeks away with 1 lb per week, that puts you pretty close to 25 lbs total. And I bet once you kick your illness you'll have a jump in weight gain again. Or you might be surprised and your body is hanging onto weight anyway. I'm convinced that our bodies have minds of their own during pregnancy. They do what they want, when they want in spite of our best efforts.
Major emotional morning here. I guess I haven't cried in a long time because the pets keep running away from me, LOL. Aren't pets supposed to be all empathetic and soothing? Do your job guys! Luckily, I anticipated a rough day today and asked DS's babysitter to take him again today. I'll pay for it tomorrow. He was really, really upset this morning. He hit me in earnest for the first time - not just play hits or impulsive hits. And I know it won't be the last, but man it didn't help. I cried a little before he left and he kept looking at me and saying "Woah". He also told me multiple times to blow my nose.
Well, off to do some cleaning in order to regain some sense of control over my life..
