My biggest worry left was to get my "go bags (we at a hospital)" re-packed, as I am much more focused than I was three weeks ago.
I hadn't gotten any of the snacks for the bag, which after my false alarm last week, had me very worried. The last thing I want to be is stuck with ice chips or red jello. Last time, all I wanted was jarred fruit in juice, rice (but won't do that again- ouch coming back up), and honey. I added instant cream of wheat and my favorite flavor ramen (I know, bad!).
Dh went tonight and got about 1/5 of the things on my list, but it's enough for me. He just needs to get himself some beef jerky, nuts, etc.. He's diabetic and tries to be paleo, so "go foods" are tricky. I'll boil him some eggs, though I'm afraid the smell might make me puke.
I've got to:
Make or buy some Labor Aid
pick up my new beco 2 from a friend
Buy nursing pads, pp pads for freezing, and sitz bath (but have epsom salts and witch hazel as a back up in case I don't make it out)
dig out my cloth diapers for pp use
Decide if we are using cloth, and if so how the heck to get it clean in our disaster of a front loader (we failed with our last kiddo).
Finish my mountain of laundry
search the thrift stores for nursing attire/bras/etc.. I usually can find at least a few.
... I don't know... everything else seems impossible at this point. I'm pretty much a hermit with constant prodromal labor... so what I have done is mostly what will be.
