8 week Healthy Weight Loss Challenge version 12 (enrolling through Nov. 13, starts Nov. 11) - Page 8

167.5 for me! This means I dropped the 2 pounds I was showing last week plus .5 from my start weight. YAY! 168 has been hard for me to break so I hope this is truely the end of it.

Here are this week's standings.

Well I finally bought a scale. I'm 162.7, this is the heaviest I've ever been; I don't think I weighed this much pregnant. On the upside, I have been eating well and doing great with exercising at least 4 times a week, so at some point, I should see some loss!

grisandole, I changed up your weight to reflect the new scale and now you can go from here for the rest of the challenge.

was back on phase one of Harcombe for 5 days, then phase two with one type of food re-introduced every few days only (i went too fast last time and stalled my weight loss) and it looks good for me this week, i couldn't resist hoping on the scale this morning (since i have a medical appointment today where my weight is monitored) ... and i've lost a bit extra since Monday ... am so so so pleased to have found something that seem to be a good fit for me !!!!!

now, hoping not to backtrack during the week end and looking forward to stepping on the scale on Monday (& wondering what kind of clothe treat i could get myself when i reach 60 kg ....)

had to miss my dance class on Monday due to exhaustion & too many commitments

but managed swimming on Tuesday

and a little walking on Wednesday

today is dance class, hopefully i'll be able to go and swim tomorrow ....

IsaFrench, hope your doctor's appointment goes well.  Looks like you have had fun with all sorts of exercise this week.  Keep up the good work through the weekend!

You go girls!! I'm slowly getting back on track food wise, I need to bring back the exercise, I hope to be in the post-holiday challenge :)

63.6kg (140.21lb)

Yay! A whole kilogram down this week. Some of that will be water loss as I was sick yesterday but, hopefully, most of it is real.

Good luck to everyone else.

Nice work katelove!

I was 122.4 yesterday, and today my scale needs new batteries and won't turn on, so im going with that.

183 this morning (I did hit 182 Saturday morning, but that changed after eating out plus a birthday party later that day!). Onward and upward, trying to continue to make good choices each day!

Making progress!

I lost all of the baby weight from DD3 (born in May) without really trying.  I'm working on the weight from DD2 (3yo) right now, and I'm almost down to what I was when I got pregnant with her.  I've lost about 15 pounds since I started doing these challenges in late July.  I've still got a long way to go, however...That weight from DD1 (5yo) is next on the agenda.

160.2. This week I vow to get below 160.

151.5..... slow to lose that lb gained at thanksgiving.

Can some of you give me some hints on how to kick the sugar habit?  I did it in the last month of pregnancy with DS, but that was for his health (wanted to stay GBS negative).  I can not have self control.  I eat it all the time and I get cranky if I don't have it.  DH tries to be sweet and get me chocolate, and I love it, but it is keeping me from losing this weight.

Also, DS is 10 months old today and is only nursing, he will eat a little bit, but he is always getting constipated when I feed him, so we are down to prunes only....I am wondering if that is also why it is so hard to lose?

i don't know if it would work for you but i tried phase one of the Zoe Harcombe eating plan for 5 days

she suggests going "cold turkey" & following her other advice (eat only "real food",cut out quite a few things for the first 5 days, eat just one meal with carbs for the first 5 days, the other two meals are protein+ veg+ fat) and that the body stops acting like a drug addict on sugar in only 5 days

i tried twice (the first time i allowed myself artificial sweetener & milk (shortly after finishing the first 5 days) ...in real tea, cravings came back)

am now allowing one type of food at a time (every other day)

so far, so good

was able to bake for the children and not lick bowls and spatulas yesterday

& have been "sugar free" again for the last 12 days ....

you don't have to buy the book if you have time to read what is published on the net in the UK .....

Looks like you ladies are doing pretty good for the first week of December.

Still a few more check ins that I am waiting for before I post the chart for this week.

My babies seem perfectly happy on the inside. Almost thought Friday was going to be their birthday, but no such luck. God knows when they will come so I guess I will just sit back and try to keep myself occupied.

191. Unusual for me not to gain water weight during period. Started yesterday and I had to skip hockey because of major sciatica pain and dizziness.
Eating healthy, lots of water, and no refined sweets. Pumpkin seeds help with chocolate and sweet cravings. I love fruit and smoothies. Baked apples with a little cinnamon are my favorite right now. I made a veggie soup, for after hockey. Always too tired to make anything.
