167.5 again! This is getting frustrating. I guess I need to work more on my diet and make sure I drink more water. I am exercising so much more and not eating more than I was. I thought that itself would do something but I guess not.
8 week Healthy Weight Loss Challenge version 12 (enrolling through Nov. 13, starts Nov. 11) - Page 10
136 lbs! A new low for me! I haven't weighed this low in 20 years!
I completed my 13-week "Learn to Run 10k" program. I made it! Ran a hard 10 km on Sunday (it was uphill on the way home). It took me 71 minutes (and I burned off almost 600 calories, woot!). I've been running on a wide, groomed trail but I'm going to start trail running over rougher ground, just to give me more variety in my run (and also so my dog can go off-leash; we have acres of forest next door). Just hope I don't run into any cougars! It's a bit of a better workout too, more hilly.
For those of you feeling frustrated, it can be really disheartening when you feel you are doing the right thing (exercising more, eating less) and still not losing weight. Honestly, the only way to be sure is to count (which means accurately weighing food). My food scale is my best friend! Exercise feels great and leaves us tired, but a half-hour run barely burns off one chocolate bar. And it's amazing how many "hidden" calories are in foods, and also figuring out what a "normal" portion size is (that was my bugaboo) is hard.
The thing I love about calorie counting is there are NO surprises! I know exactly how much I've eaten vs. burned, and I know exactly when to expect the scale to go up, down, or stay the same. I've been tracking calories and weight for over 3 months now and the math really works. 3500 calorie deficit = 1 lb loss
Only about half of the red team has reported for this week so I won't post the charts yet.
My twins are still waiting for their birthday. Thursday I will be 40 weeks. Friday an induction is scheduled if they don't come before then. I have a chiropractor appointment today. Can't believe it is almost Christmas!
Shocked! Shocked! I can't believe I didn't gain. I had a rough week in both the exercise and food departments. We've been busy with work and Christmas prep, and I had way more bready-type lunches this week because we weren't as organized with our grocery shopping and cooking. Shocked!
189! I think that's it for weight from DD2. I still have a ways to go though to get back to what I was before DD1.
I was 137 today. Yesterday I was 136.5. I've been hovering around these two for the last few days.
My goal for this challenge was to lose 2 lbs and I think I can safely say I've achieved that. I've upped my daily caloric intake goal to "maintenance" levels for the holidays. It gives me a bit of extra room to eat xmas goodies. I'm pretty happy where I am right now, weight-wise, but after the holidays I'll probably drop down to a deficit again and see if I can hit my overall goal of 135 over the next month or so. Then I'll switch to maintenance for good.
Merry Christmas everybody!!
