So, at about 9 1/2 weeks (this is my first pregnancy), I came home from work and had the worst bleeding I have ever had! I've read that light bleeding (less than a period) without cramping is to be expected. But this, this was so bad I couldn't get the bleeding slowed enough to get off the toilet. I of course assumed I was having a miscarriage, but was now concerned that I might bleed to death. My wonderful husband kept me calm (although I was already hysterical) and got me to the hospital. After waiting ALL NIGHT in the ER, the doctor said the baby's heartbeat was strong and that everything was fine, thank goodness.
Has anyone bleed that terribly? I find it hard to believe that much blood is normal, but we are at 14 1/2 weeks now and haven't had any more incidences. Scared me half to death!!
