Christmas/winter seasonal book recommendations?

Looking for some good books for my LO, ones that don't necessarily have Santa as the focus.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I love the littlest angel, but the original full version, not the newer one with the cartoony pictures.

The Snowman- http://www.amazon.com/Snowman-Raymond-Briggs/dp/0394839730/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1387203277&sr=1-1&keywords=the+snowman is beautiful. It is a wordless movie as well.

The Polar Express is great, but does have Santa.

Max Lucado has some sweet Christmas books.

Snowballs by Lois Ehlert

The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats

Jan Brett has several good ones including The Mitten and Gingerbread Baby

Grumpy Badger's Christmas is a cute story.

The Hat- Jan Brett

The Mitten- Alvin Tresselt

Room for a Little One- Martin Wadell

How the Grinch Stole Christmas- Dr. Suess

I have more, but my older one tends to go for those, these are my 2 yr. old's favorites.

Not a holiday book, but one set in winter that is just about as perfect as a book can get: Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett. It is about being generous and sweet and pure of heart and the illustrations are so unique. It is really a year round favorite here.

We really enjoy this one- http://www.amazon.com/Winter-Board-Book-Gerda-Muller/dp/0863151922/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1387347973&sr=1-6&keywords=winter

And no words is nice... my little one loves to just talk about the pictures! There's a book for each season, too.

Arthur Yorinks's The Flying Latke, it cracks me up every time.
