Can the Dead Really Live Again??

Thread Starter

Do our Dead Loved Ones Go to Heaven? Hell Perhaps? Will We ever See them Again? Did God Just Need More Angels? Here's What I Found About What the Bible Says.

What do you think?

Heaven - If you believe in Jesus you will be with Him

Hell- If you reject Jesus you will be seperated form Him

See them again- in heaven yes. hell not sure

Angels- We are made higher then angel. We do not become angel when we die

That is my point of view as a believer in Jesus.

I don't believe that they "live" again as we know them, but their soul does not die.  I have no idea exactly what heaven would be like or any enlightened afterlife, but I am almost sure we cannot be as we are on earth.

I clicked on the top link, I didn't read it tho. As soon as I saw Jehovah's witness, I backed out, back to MDC. If you want to know what the Bible says about the after life, your best bet would be to pick up a Bible and see for yourself. Websites just give you someone else's opinion...
That being said, I agree with nazsmum. You're body dies, but your soul is either going to heaven or hell. Then if you wanna get all technical, after the great tribulation and the thousand year reign of Christ, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. So, while I don't know exactly what that will look like, my guess is it might be something like the garden of Eden.

I don't think we have a soul, I think we ARE a soul. In that case, there is no death, just the shedding of skin that doesn't fit anymore. Hell is clearly on earth from the way I see it. Heaven is moving beyond the hell, no matter where your soul might be.

Just my two cents!

I believe in a very literal resurrection.

I believe in reincarnation. We are all souls living in a temporary human body. We are really spiritual beings. Our true home is the spirit world. That is "heaven". There is no such thing as hell. Those are my beliefs.

That's what i believe too. I'm a kardecist. Kardecist Spiritism is a relatively common religion in Brazil and many kardecists were raised catholics.

Kardecists believe that when you die you'll be with your loved ones although some people need to spend some time in a place similar to a purgatory in order to reflect on their mistakes. It is not seen as punishment, but rather as a learning place (tough love, though!). We belive that we are always evolving and kardecism is really focused on self improvement and charity. We say that "there's no salvation outside charity". We dont believe in hell but we do believe that there are consequences to bad actions and that we may have to reincarnate and deal with situations tailored to help us mature and become better people. We tend to deal with hard times with a good atitude and most of us think of death as going back to a place in wich we have more understanding of ouselves, God and life in general. We believe everyone has a spitual guide, wich is a spirit more evolved than us, who is with us almost all the time. Some people, gifted ones, have the hability to see, hear, talk with or deliver messages from others spirits (channelling). Channelling should never be a paid job because we believe it is an hability that has been given to us so we can do charity through it. We also believe people dont have to be kardecists or believe as we do in order to be close to God. We believe there's no right belief because the important things is not our religion, but our actions and our desire to be good and overcome our flaws as we sail through life...
