Make Your Own Wool Dryer Balls

So I found this tutorial to make your own dryer balls and I think I'm going to give it a shot.  Has anyone done it? I'm thinking it would make great Christmas presents.

I have made some from thrift store wool sweaters I take the yarn from and I have also made them from wool roving before.  I have probably around 6-8 balls, but only 2-3 are ever available to use in my dryer. My kids steal them to play with and they get lost in their rooms for weeks at a time.

I've made a ton - use some, gifted some, auctioned others.  Like a PP, I prefer to use thrift store sweaters and upcycle mine.  It's probably more work, but I was making them as time killers - so it worked!

I probably have 6-8 balls in my dryer.
