Tummy troubles

Can I complain for a minute? I feel like my body is completely out of control. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I'm just ready for it to be over.

I've been having stomach issues for the last few days and I wish there was something I could do to feel better but I don't even know what it is.

I've talked one of my midwives and she doesn't think it's anything specific and that it's just the pregnancy. So I'm left with nothing to do about it.

It is so hard to feel awful and take care of my 4 year old at the same time.

The next few months better pass quickly. I don't know how much longer I can do this!!

Thanks for listening to me complain you guys!!

Have you tried ProBiotics or a B-Complex vitamin (good for nausea and vomiting)?  Red Raspberry tea can help too.

Thanks, Crossfitmom. I do take a very high quality probiotic everyday. I haven't tried doing any red raspberry tea, but I'll try it, for sure. Thanks for the advice!

What are the symptoms?

Well, it started about a week ago when I began to just kinda lose my appetite. Then, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, I got incredibly nauseous. My belly just felt like it was a balloon. So much pressure. I took some gas x in hopes it would help. I could stop shivering. It lasted about an hour.

Same thing the next night but I was awake this time. Everything about my belly hurt especially the top, under my breasts. I couldn't stop shivering but no fever. Again, lasted about an hour and ended. After I just felt like I got ran over by a truck.

I began to wonder about gallbladder but my midwife doesn't think so. The last two days I've eaten low fat and haven't had another "attack" like that. Just little ones where my belly just is so uncomfortable.

I don't want to keep eating low fat for no reason since I feel like I'm just eating empty calories and I'm starving!

You can try this. Especially the upper part. Do no push down on the uterus when you get to the fundus. All your guts and cramming up in there, this might help :)

Here's a great brand of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea you could try.  It is specially for pregnancy to sooth common illnesses, like nausea (peppermint).

High Quality Red Raspberry Leaf Tea: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Red-Raspberry-Leaf-Organic-Cut

Their specific Pregnancy Blend: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/MRRB

B-Complex really helped me too.

Dont know if this will help, but cat/cow stretching may help relieve some discomfort......this helps me with my back, as well as my tummy :-)

Are you drinking enough water??  Also, peppermint tea works really well for any type of indigestion....and ginger for nausea.

Feel better!!

I have no medical background but the shivering sounds more like a flu type system rather than pregnancy related. If it was me I would call another health practitioner for a second opinion.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I did go to a naturopath. No clear answers for now. Just eating low fat just in case it's a gallbladder issue. When I get brave enough, I'll try a high fat meal and see if I have any more problems.

Blood sugar crashes can cause shivering and shaking as well as feeling run over by a truck after, not hungry, or queasy when you should be hungry.

I'm so sorry ypu are having a tough time and I hope you figure it out soon

Uhoh... I had just this after that glucose test yesterday!

Also, to the OP. You may be sensitive to certain foods while pregnant. I usually eat so much garlic that people are repulsed by me. I can hardly stand it now. It makes me sick. Maybe try avoiding anything that could be causing problems.
