"religious objection" in NJ

Hello. My son was vacced up until 1yr and then I stopped. The vaccs he has yet to recieve are chicken pox and MMR. I am contemplating writing up a letter about our religious objection to those particular vaccines. I know that the MMR has aborted fetal tissue inside it and I think the chick pox vaccine does as well. Do you happen to have the link to the ingredients and would you know if this kind of religious objection would work or is necessary?

I honestly am appalled at the idea of "gaining" at the expense of another's death so its not a BS claim.

Thanks Des!!

This is what I came up with:

To Whom it may Concern:
I would like to have my son, (name here), exempted from mandatory immunization because the administration of immunization conflicts with the practice of our religious tenets, i.e. my religious belief prohibits the injection of foreign ingredients into my body or that of my child.
Thank you,
(name here)

Our family’s religious beliefs are that Life is to be honored and revered above all else. The life of any living creature is special but the life of an unborn child is the ultimate state of innocence and purity. To benefit from the death of this innocent being would be a sin above all others. Vaccines that use the tissues of these innocent children are listed below.

Also, when an animal is slaughtered for food, the pain and suffering and fright experienced by the animal remain in the meat in the form of negative energy. It is our religious belief that it is undesirable to take this kind of energy into the body. Therefore, the animal parts from a tortured animal would be that much worse. In the case of vaccinations, we are not just eating the meat we are injecting it directly into the bloodstream. It goes against everything we believe to be Holy to allow this negative energy to be injected into our bodies.

I live in NJ and 2 of my babies went to nursery school (we now homeschool everyone who is old enough). You should simply state in your letter that you refuse vaccines due to religious reasons. Period, nothing else, nothing to open up discussions. No one can even ask what religion you are as it's against your Constitutional rights. When I was researching the laws, I was advised that less is better. If you want, I can send you a copy of the letter that we used via email. Let me know. In the mean time we used...Public Health Law 26:1A-9.1 and Subd.9.L 1989, c.538 & 3 eff. Jan. 1, 1990 in our letters. They basically state wht I said, we're not vaccinating for religiuos reasons and are allowed to do so by law. All the other stuff in your letter could be construed as philosphical or moral objection by the powers that be. Good luck and stand strong. You don't have to vaccinate to allow your child to go to school!

If you selectively vax just claim a religious exemption to vaxing.Ifin some weirdcircumstance someone saw you had vaxed you canalways say"My religious beliefs have changed since then" or similar. And keep it short and sweet, I agree.

I vaxed DD but no longer will. I gave her vax records when she began school, so I worry when they say "she needs a booster" and I hand in an exemption...

Thanks so much!! I thought it was kind of much but I wasnt sure how much information was necessary to give or if I'd have to answer questions. I really appreciate your help and it takes a load off.
