Saddlebags!!!!

I realized at the gym today taht I have saddlebags. My mom has them, but I didn't have them until I was pg. So, I think there is hope for me. I have been working out and have lost 50 lbs. (over two years). As of late, I am really starting to tone up-except for the f***ing saddlebags!! I do the treadmill on an incline for 30-40 minutes and the the Nauticus weight machine circuits. I am trying to eat better, too. Anyone know any great isolated exercises I can do for my thinghs at home? TIA!!

LOL. Sorry. I thought you ended up with bad bike bags or something. I love my saddlebags, but of course, I can take them off my bike rack anytime....

What about that slidy thing? How to describe it....it's like there's a mat(slippery) on the floor and you kind of skate back and forth on it from side to side. I've seen personal trainers having celebs do it on E! (yes, I watch E! sometimes ).

Or when I was in high school (and in good shape, though I didn't think so), I used to lay on my side and lift my top leg up in the air and back down, keeping it in control. Sometimes, I would swing it forward and back, again in control. I'm not sure that these really do anything, but I sure thought it would! Or maybe try getting on your hands and knees and lifting your legs (one at a time) up toward the ceiling. I saw on a plastic surgery show (wow, I sound like I have no life) that after a doc put in butt implants, the resulting lift lessened saddlebags. So maybe getting your butt in better shape would help?

As long as you are getting enough cardio, then building muscle is probably your best bet. Do lunges and squats (with weight if you can! build up to holding 15 lb dumbells in each hand) I do walking lunges, alternating legs and lunging back and forth across my living room (or at the gym, whatever) with moderate weight, do 2-3 sets of 12 -15 lunges. Building muscle helps the fat lay smoother over your muscle and helps with the appearance of cellulite and bulges! We can build new fat cells but all you can do is shrink them, they never completely disappear. :

Anyhoo, probably more info than you wanted but HTH!
