So, last night in the middle of the night I get up to go to the bathroom. Groggy and out of it so even my memory is vague. I'm peeing, and I start having this INSANE low back pain on the sides (kidneys?!) I also had to use a little bit of effort to fully empty my bladder. And then it stopped and I went back to bed and all was normal. I've felt fine today, no pain at all. No fever or sign of infection. Anyone ever experienced something like this? Any explanation?
Intense low back pain.. what was THAT?!
Mention it to your provider, but I wouldn't worry. Pregnancy makes all your muscles and ligaments looser. Going from a sleeping position to the bathroom may have just twisted something the wrong way. I get weird random pains all the time, but as long as they go away and you have no other symptoms (fever, difficulty peeing) I wouldn't stress out about it. I think we tend to think that we shouldn't have aches and pains until much later in our pregnancies, but the truth is they can happen any time :) Good luck!
