Cycle day 39
Just coming to updated. I saw another BFP and some hopeful others! Also no symptoms for me (and others) is usually a better symptom of pregnancy then usual AF symptoms. My sickness has returned full force. I'm hoping I can make it through tomorrow semi alive as it's DH's Christmas party, I have to mail our parcels to get their in time for Xmas, I have to shower and do my hair early on as I also agreed to volunteer for DD1's class skating tomorrow and his party starts at 6 so by the time I do school pick up, and get them off to MIL's DH will be headed home to get ready to go. He also isn't feeling good but mine has come back full force and then some. It's now in my sinus' (although still not the intense sinus infection pain) and my whole body aches but mainly my back. And it's slightly uncomfortable to breath both in my chest and back. I know I need to go back to the doctor, I'm just in that "busy/it's not that bad" mindset :( But strangest thing... I was talking to my mom on the phone tonight and she asks me inthe strangest tone "And do you have anything else you'd like to let us know about?" And when I asked her what she was talking about she kind of gave me and ".....ok...." Like I don't believe you... That being said pregnancies do make me ultra sick at first and everyone knew we wanted more but she'll never ask... I don't know if I was reading too much into it but just the way she said it instantly shocked me... Like maybe she knows something or it was just one of those "intuition" questions... Now that I think about it when I was pregnant with my youngest I was pretty sick for awhile on top of pregnancy sickness so I was able to just hide the pregnancy sickness under a non relenting cold (bad immune system I have)... And when we told them I was pregnant she said she honestly had no clue and really just thought I was super sick... But a little bit to wonder about ;)

I have posted this question in the August DDC but I thought I might ask here as well bc I know so many of you have past pregnancies and lots of experience.  It's an adjustment to go chat with a bunch of strangers when I know this group pretty well now!

AF was technically supposed to show either today or tomorrow (CD 25/26) and that makes me nervous.

I have had the gamut of early symptoms ranging from BBs to dizzyness, queasy/nausea, hot flashes, increased HR, fatigue, etc.

Yesterday my BBs were still full but tenderness pretty much stopped.   Nausea and exhaustion kicked it up a notch - eating is sparse and I took a 3-hour nap (but was still SO ready for bed by 9).

Checked my cervix and it was tucked way up high for the past few days, now it's lower and firmer with a respectable amount of slick, but slightly thicker than watery CM.

I had a couple episodes of wiping with the faintest tinge of tan yesterday afternoon/evening.

I think most normal ppl would never have noticed it but I'm like a super inspector of all TP bc I have a mc in my history (my only other pregnancy)!  There's no hint of color to that watery CM now though.

Then before going to bed, I had all these crazy cramping sensations - not severe but enough to notice.  It felt like AF, plus my lower back along the spine and the top ridge of my pelvic bone ached quite a bit.  Overnight I've even felt a few faint aches down the insides of my thighs.

So now I'm up with the nausea/insomnia combo at 3-4am.  No more cramping but abdomen is sensitive.  My back feels 95% normal.  Wondering if all those sensations were some kind of freaky gas pains or something?  I am having lots of symptoms and it's still so early (currently 3wk 4days) and also wonder if that has anything to do with it.  It's like going from 0 to 60 in a few days instead of a few weeks (what it would be in most pregnancies that I read about).  rosie and apeydef joke that it could be twins causing things so early.

Do any of you have experience with this type of thing?

The paranoia is officially setting in.  I'm on high alert, feeling like AF is going to try to crash the party!

P.S.  My concern drove me to POAS when I got up at 3.  So glad the line is darker than yesterday's.

nattyb - I put you on the test list.  Those pains sound like a really positive sign - hope so!

natty, good luck!!

scjp, I'm sorry!

delightedbutterfly, I hope your mom is on to something!

MotivatedMama, welcome and good luck!!

Innacircle, I had come-and-go cramps that scared the heck out of me with DS.  Also, I have heard lots of people say the breast tenderness can come and go.  Just the fact that the line is darker today would be enough to reassure me... you are pregnant and the hcg is rising.  Yay!!!

innacircle: I understand your concern. Even without miscarriage, I think most women feel the same way. Unfortunately, I have not much info for you. I've never checked my cervix position, but I've heard it's not a real reliable method for determining things. Tan sounds good as it's a relative to brown. If you notice any red or have painful cramps, then I'd be worried. Twinges, weird feelings, small cramps here and there are all totally normal and will drive you bonkers. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thoroughly inspects the TP! You said your abdomen is sensitive...like painful? I know bloating is common in early pregnancy and can even seem painful/very uncomfortable. If it gets really bad, then I'd be worried. With my ectopic, my abdomen was really sensitive. I was trying to convince myself it was normal bloat, but I think I knew deep down it seemed more severe. I have a small dog who gets in my lap. Her laying against my stomach was unbearable! And that was at like 5 weeks. If it's just mildly uncomfortable, I'd say it probably just bloat that's putting pressure on all your insides.

Inna- everything you're describing sounds entirely normal to me.  Although, I can relate to the anxiety.  I've had a m/c at 11 weeks and a chemical.  I find the entire first trimester terrifying.  But I've also had 3 healthy babies, and I personally experience very early strong symptoms.  Maybe I'm just more intune with my body than most people or maybe there's just something with my body where they are really stronger.

The cramping is totally normal- the embryo is implanting and the uterus begins to stretch (even at this early stage).  I also get a very tender abdomen in early preg.  Also, all my lady parts feel very strange and uncomfortable in early preg.

Some of your symptoms will come and go- that's normal.  I know I would freak out if I woke up and my BBs weren't sore, but the symptoms don't usually remain constant all the time.

You really do need to try to find a way to relax though.  With my last preg. I was absolutely TERRIFIED b/c I had a mc the preg. before.  I went in for an early ultrasound and I was just shaking.  The tech was really sweet and told me everything was fine, but that stress can have a detrimental effect on a fetus.  She believes that she's seen some women induce mc by the amount of fear they were having.  Can you pray or meditate?  Have you heard of rescue remedy?  It's homeopathic and is wonderful for relaxation- its safe for pregnancy.  I took it last time, and it helped.  I truly wish you the best.

Thank you ladies for the responses.  It is so, so nice to have this place to go for support.

I think all will be right in the world once I get past these next couple of days.  When I had my mc it was exactly on the day AF would've been due if I hadn't been preggo.  And today would've been the original due date!

jenjy - yeah, that last hpt has been highly viewed this morning.  It is definitely the big factor of reassurance.  It's good to know the cramps are not abnormal.  I do remember last time telling the doc that it felt like a small herd of buffalo were running around in there.   Whew!   On a separate note, test day is coming up for you.  I'd love to see another BFP!

rosie - when I started having the ache in my back, I thought of you and the details of the ectopic.  I was hoping you'd chime in.  The sensitivity is not acute.  It's like the day after a workout when you can tell your muscles were used.  Except this is in the abdomen - I can tell there was some cramping/irritation going on in there (which seems to be gone now) and the feeling is very mild.  I think I'm just a sensitive abdomen kind of gal.  That first pregnancy was the same way and I had to roll my pants down really low like a gangster to be comfortable!  I had that sensation from my swollen rt ovary last month as well.  Part of me wonders if my progesterone/estrogen requirements didn't require my body to fire up that old clunker (aka the right ovary) and that's what's wreaking the havoc!  I felt ovulation on the left, so I know the right one got a bit of a break.

btw I loved your comment "Tan sounds good as it's a relative to brown."  - not sure if that was meant to be humorous but being so literal, it sure was to me!

kateaton - yay for sharing on the tender abdomen.  Not much info to be found about that kind of thing.  I've never heard of rescue remedy - will have to look into that as well as practicing some breathing exercises.  I think it's just a bit of a difficult transition into having such unpredictable symptoms after charting and analyzing every detail of trends when TTC.  I'm a pattern spotter by nature... just have to let it go.

All of the personal experiences you ladies shared are helpful to me.  I wish I could ask my mom but she died not that long ago (btw she had me when she was 41, but I was the last) and I have a sister but I just plain don't like her.  So that pretty much rules out family support!  At this stage it's just me and DH who knows.  Can you imagine if I asked him all this stuff?  I think his head would pop off right on the spot (like a fembot from Austin Powers)!

innacircle: and one more thing...my overly painful abdomen during my ectopic got worse as each day passed too. So if it's a dull ache that's remaining constant, I'm sure it's normal. And once I started having pain in my side (what was actual tubal pain) it was stop you dead in your tracks-must perform breathing exercises to get through it pain. Extremely severe pain!! And it would last a solid 3 minutes, up to 30 minutes. I literally could not move while it was happening and it made me cry....

I was really worried about ectopic during my last preg. b/c of one sided pain.  I had early ultrasound and was told (at 5/6 weeks) that it was too early to feel an ectopic, and was even too early to see it on ultrasound.  Inna- I wouldn't worry about that at this point.

@innacircle I had a surprise pregnancy with DS age 12 (it was the one time in my life I tried BCPs) but took a quick hpt when I realized a mistake had been made with medication orders from my doctor's office. When it was positive I called the dr to make an appt. but surprising to me then , since I hadn't immersed myself in all things early pregancy like now , was they didn't want to see me until at least 8 wk or more mark but to call if I had bleeding great pain etc. anyway, within a day of that call I started having crampy abdominal pains which again I was not prepared for so I went into urgent care. I had an u/s there outside of the usual obgyn environment. Long story short the crampy pains were the first symptoms what proved to be a normal healthy pregnancy.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with one part of this...I began having the severe pain at 6 weeks. It was more like episodes of pain. It would come on out of nowhere, last a few minutes, then disappear. I'd feel totally fine afterward. But it kept happening more frequently and for longer periods of time over the next two weeks. I will agree though that they could not see it on US at that point. I was about 5 weeks at +hpt, 7weeks when they diagnosed it as ectopic and could see it. But I don't think inna has anything to worry about either!!
@innacircle from someone who has had a mc and two healthy pregnancies I can tell you that some cramping is normal. Some dull achy pain. If it is gets sharp intense or is followed by blood than that is different! But please do not worry some light cramping is normal! I also always get sore in my lower abdomen like I've been punched or something! Also I believe your cervix gets lower in the beginning and then as you get bigger it starts moving up!

rosie, sarahviolet, kateaton & apeydef - I *sincerely* appreciate the reassurances.  I figured it was too early for the ectopic thing too, but I don't like to rule anything out without at least taking a look at the possibilities.  It's no longer on my radar at this point.

I feel better today overall.  The sharper cramps have abated.  Still mildly achy in my midsection but nothing alarming at all (and so very different in nature than what I felt last night).  Apeydef that's a good ref about being punched! Slight BB tenderness is back and  now the queasiness is taking a break.  By genetics I am a high-metabolism, high-calorie gal (around 2500-3000 cals/day) so this hiatus from eating is a real oddity.  Today I was able to eat a half of a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit that I made and it was such an accomplishment!  Yay!  Taste was a bit off, but not bad.  Doable is doable, and I'm not going to be picky.

My craving for sweets is coming back and my #1 love is fudge, so I made some.  Nope... not quite right.

I'm trying to stay busy and moving so I'm working to stock the fridge with pre-made foods for the weekend.  DH will be home tonight and tomorrow night, then leaves Sunday night again for 3 days.  Since I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow, figured I might as well plan ahead!  Working on some southern style chicken and dumplins... and randomly, maybe some broccoli and cheese!  That is the first vegetable I've considered in days.  I have terrible fruit/veggie guilt.  I feel like such a bad eater!

interesting. That's just what the ultrasound tech had told me, probably to make me feel better.  I've never had an ectopic btw, I was just worried because I had one sided pain early on.  It went away and was just part of normal uterine stretching.  So I guess the key thing to note is worsening pain.
