UPCOMING TEST DATES

4th - scjp (15dpo)

5th – mygreenestgrass (13dpo)

7th - edubluv (13dpo)

11th - innacircle (10dpo)

13th – sarahviolet (12dpo)

15th - badwolf

16th - tifga (blood test post IUI)

21st - alivewithyou (AF due date)

24th – delighted (CD 30)

*If anyone gets twitchy and decides to test earlier just let me know and I'll update!

sarahviolet – I slotted you in for the 13th at 12 dpo.  I agree with Rosie that waiting till 18dpo, although effective, is complete waiting overkill!  The reason I picked 12 dpo was the %pos HPT results for that day vs. any earlier.

tifga – hope you’re feeling back to normal after your IUI!  And no, that timing isn’t crazy short.  The LP is scientifically measured from your positive OPK to AF and that would give you around 13 days right?  You could always try some B6 supplementation to lengthen things if it worries you.  My LP was 9-10 days and I started B6, VitC, VitE and it lengthened almost 2 days in my first full month taking them.  I was surprised to see such a good result!

wife – it SO stinks being sick, and getting in trouble at work only compounds things (making you feel bad for other reasons).  Hang in there…. I think just about all of us have had our turn being where you are now.  On a separate note, your temping results sound really good with that level of consistency.  I don’t blame you for feeling a little tempted by the chance at the first egg!

kay75 – welcome!  Hopefully your visit here only lasts for a couple of days while you’re waiting for the BFN to convert to BFP.  Fingers crossed!

badwolf – that CM sounds fertile then.  Yay!

I just got a positive OPK today smile.gif so I'll likely O' tomorrow (I don't temp so won't know for sure) but I'm planning on testing on the 16th, at 12ish DPO if I can wait that long.

Yesterday I tested at 10dpo and got a BFN. AF should arrive tmrw(4th or 5th). If AF doesn't show by 5th (13dpo) I am going to test again. Fingers crossed! If you could add me to the list as well 5th at 13dpo for my POAS date.

Hey, I'm going to start trying hypnosis. Not much else I can do while I wait. I haven't listened to it yet but I'm using this one. I wonder, if everyone tries it, if we can clear out the TTC group because everyone will be moving onto birth boards at once, haha.

On the countdowntopregnancy site there are stats on positive HPTs by dpo.  All the results are from ladies who actually ended up being preggo (meaning the tests all should’ve been positive).  Here’s the info:

dpo    %pos / %neg

9        51/49

10      67/33

11      78/21

12      82/17

13      86/14        <I think it's interesting that from 13dpo the results are super similar>

14      87/13

15      89/11

16      88/12

AFM: Looks like I’m the only crazy early bird on our testing list!  I have 10+ of those IC HPTs so I add POAS to the routine just like a vitamin.  I don’t really expect anything so soon but at least I won’t be wondering!  Right now I’m 3dpo (best estimate based on CBFM, OPK, CM, Ovacue showing increasing progesterone, and a jacked up temp trend from traveling and not sleeping).  Talk about no-man’s land!  :2whistle

innacircle - I POAS from 10 DPO too. That's when I got my BFP with DS. I think 11 is probably a good balance between "early" and "accurate". If you absolutely cannot deal with a BFN or you don't want to spend any more money on tests than necessary then waiting until AF is late is a good plan. I'm hoping to be strong enough to test only once on 10/11 DPO and then only a second time if AF is late. Every day is just too much. (Of course, it'll be nice when I start ovulating again!)

Hey all, I just joined up! I'm on month two of TTC, two months post Laparoscopy for ovarian cyst removal and some mild endometriosis zapping. I'm about 11dpo, AF is due on the 6th so fingers crossed although I'm not expecting  BFP this month to be honest, I think we might have been a little off this month, I'm still getting used to not having as much pelvic pain post Lap, sometimes it was useful for indicating O time.  I'm 33 and my guy is 37, we've been best friends for years and now very much in love, decided that we had no reason to wait, especially since I have a few things going on that may or may not be an issue, we'll see.  Trying to keep it relaxed as possible for now.

Let’s put our potential earliest test dates in a list so we can look forward to some excitement this month!!!

If you'd like to participate, please list the date, your name, and how many dpo you will be when you plan to test.

11th – innacircle (10dpo)

I just can't plan ahead to poas- am I the only one?  I only poas if I 'feel' pregnant.  When I'm preggo I get lots of symptoms pretty quick, and usually test neg. for a couple of days before I get a pos.  I always just KNOW.  I can't stand to see BFN, so sadly I can't join the party, but hopefully I'll be feeling lots of symptoms right around  the 23rd (around 10/11 dpo), which happens to be my birthday.  I can't think of a better way to feel better about turning 37 than a BFP!  Seriously though, this has got to be a better month for this ttc club, it can't get any worse!

I was in a "pee party" when I tested and found out I was pregnant with DS. I had no clue I was. Didn't feel any symptoms for a few more weeks. I would have been almost a month 'late' if I had waited for symptoms to test, lol. I was just testing because everyone else was.

How fun is that??!! Were you the only one that got their BFP?

AFM: after serious analysis, I'm going with 12/19, and I *think* that will be about 12DPO. Not using OPKs this month so I don't know when I'll O. But I'm a huge math nerd and I've literally just spent two hours of my work day creating a spreadsheet, analyzing past data, trying to figure out my LP length. Last month threw it all off with my short cycle, but I'm chalking it up to coming off a CP. Based on my assumptions, this is my best guess.

wife: I don't get symptoms at all. With my first I had mildly sore boobs. And I didn't get nauseous until 7-8 weeks. Even that was mild tho. Never threw up once. But my next two kiddos I had nothing. DS was a surprise and I just realized one day I was about a week late and thought "geez, maybe I should test". I guess I was more tired than normal, but I didn't realize it until after I found out I was prego.

Yes, surely this month will be better. It's exciting to me just knowing that chances are SOMEONE will get their BFP this month....wonder who it will be!! Hopefully lots of us!! Fingers crossed!!!

Hello lovely ladies. Sorry for being a bit MIA - finals week for my Ph.D. program (on top of a full time job) just kicking my ass here. Clearly, as it's 4 am and I am not sleeping. My husband got really stressed out from the OPK and temping, and I put it all away. A cycle of fun awaits. I am on day 5 of my period, and will be ready for baby making action soon. It's just so interesting, this road we're on. We are collectively due for a nice December shower of BFPs.

So I'm having a problem here. I woke up at. 3 am ish with horrifying cramps and minor spotting. So AF is trying to make an appearance. Cycle wise, I've always had it between the 13th and 15th of each month. Pain wise it's always been bad but not like this. I'm stuck in bed till DH gets back from work and the. It's ER time. I'm really scared and don't know what to do. I move, pain gets worse. Or I feel nauseous. Any clue while I wait?

countryfried - welcome!

kateaton - I think we all POAS bc the TWW makes us crazy and by 8-9dpo we're CERTAIN there are symptoms.  CERTAIN.

kaliakra - hopefully your new "no stress" approach brings your BFP soon.

badwolf - ugh, I sure hope this passes for you soon.  I've never had anything remotely close.  Keep us posted and hang in there!

AFM:  I've come to the conclusion, based on so many others' input about their own DHs, that mine must be a perv.  He loves this stuff - is fascinated by it and let me tell ya... if I mention anything about CM or even the word nipple nowadays, he's ready to go in 30 seconds flat.  We both note how surprising that is - guess he's just super hardwired for reproduction.  Funny enough, he's a completely non-pervy kind of guy in every other way.... just about sex for babies!

My DH tries to understand. "Are you ovulating?" Ah honey, its not always a yes or no answer. Its all about the potential for ovulation, not the event itself. If we waited until the very moment of, we probably wouldn't get pregnant. Just put the swimmers in the pool when the water is right, lol.

Cautiously moving myself to Waiting to O

Have you taken anything for the pain? That is horrible :( I've had bad cramps most of my life but always a day or two after my cycle starts. There are some days I can't move or get out of bed and I just sleep it off. Actually the thing that helps my cramps the most is *Oing* and I'm not talking ovulation ;)

@countryfried Welcome to the group!

@badwolf092087 Oh no! I hope you get something for the pain. That AF, she is a beast I tell ya!

I'm crampy y'all; not horribly crampy but crampy. I broke down and bought a test during lunch time today so I'm down water so that my bladder will be full when I try. The last time I peed on a stick at work, I discovered was pregnant with DS and it was actually around this same time. Let's see what happens today.

How do I feel: I'm not sure. I want to be excited but part of me is don't even bother. I'm just irregular again. I'm trying to remain neutral but I'll let you know what the test says.

Hoping hoping and hoping that this mornings temp was an implantation dip, although I know they have been debunked for the most part, hey, a girl can dream!!! I had to manually put my O at CD 14, as FF wanted to keep it at CD 10, which just isnt possible or true... So. going by CD 14, or even CD 15, I would be 4, or 5 DPO today:)

scjp any news??
mygreenestgrass and becka: can't wait to hear from you tomorrow!!
NaturallyMo: did you take that test yet? Don't overdo the water too much! I've heard it can dilute your urine!!

badwolf: how ya doin? Only time I've had pain that severe (to the point I was paralyzed) was when I had an ectopic. But I had known for about 2 weeks that I was pregnant. And it wasn't really cramps, it was pain in my side. Take some drugs!!

I can't wait to hear from those if you testing in the next few days! I'm sure someone will be pregnant!!
