December chat - those still hanging around! - Page 2
Mmm coffee. I haven't had in so long that I don't know if I miss it. My heart dr wants me caf free, though I do have chocolate sometimes
I think lots of typos, lol. I'm bouncing on a ball with what seems like baby nursing for two hours. No crying today though. Just tad fussy.
Pushing up- it's amazing! Ournguy is trying to do push ups and I swear was half flipped.today.
Merry Christmas Eve! :) I'm down here taking a break from pumping - we gave the baby his first bottle yesterday, so maybe if he practices we can go see the Hobbit movie sometime... :) He seemed uncertain about it, but didn't cry. I have nearly six ounces of milk saved up now... :P Never have been good at this pumping thing, but luckily it doesn't much matter. They say it's smart to have a stash built up, though, just in case.
He's 8 weeks old today! So fat! :) All our families are here in town - thank goodness, because we'd have gotten NOTHING done. (I still have at least one present to wrap.) We were all sick last week, and I thought we were getting better... then two days ago I woke up terribly sore and stiff all over. And my left breast hurt pretty badly on one side. I thought maybe it was mastitis... I'm thinking a sinus infection now, though, along with a plugged duct or two. And my husband is coughing his lungs out instead of getting better. :P I've been feeling slowly better, at least, only had a fever for a few hours. Nursing a lot on that side and pumping too, and it seems better as well. Weird, though, I never had that trouble with my other two. But this morning my mother-in-law has some kind of stomach bug! We don't need that on top of all the other sicknesses! :P Seems like all our friends are sick too, this is the plague Christmas. I hope all of you stay healthy!
Hippymum, I sure hope not! Yikes, we haven't been taking any precautions! (Actually, the first time, it didn't even occur to me. I guess I was used to being pregnant and not having to think about contraception... My husband mentioned being nervous about it a couple of days later, and I was like, "Oh! Right! That can happen, what a novel concept!) lol.... Well, 98% chance of not getting pregnant is pretty good, right? :)
Hope you feel better soon. I though I was getting mastitus too but was a cold. I took echinacea for a week. Our kids have the cold but much better. Don't think baby caught it. He had some boogy noses but half the time it looked like milk booger I don't know if the extra fussy is growth spurt or not feeling well.
Have two gifts to wrap and I'm done. Would like to make cut out cookies today for santa.
My visiting family is sick too.
Or gussies are getting better. So much was oversupply and it's leveling out some. He usually has to burp too because of it. I still have burp cloths everywhere though
I feel better mentally because she seems so much happier. Ahh. I even took her out grocery shopping yesterday and she was great!
Also... My husband and I are loving baby wearing when we can't just lay her down for a nap, for when we are busy. I got him an Ergo with a newborn insert for Father's Day and it's been great. For Christmas we flew further up north and the Ergo was a lifesaver! She sleeps soundly and snuggles right into it. I have a Moby and it's great, but hard to adjust and just... So many... Loops and ties... Yesterday I bought a K'Tan secondhand and WOW! So much better! Far more versatility and may more comfortable. The Ergo is great for going outdoors, sure, and the K'Tan is great for home! I did stick E in the K'Tan during grocery shopping yesterday, all by myself, and had zero problems. So if I can make a recommendation on the K'Tan, I am doing so I mean, I love the Moby, but the K'Tan is far easier for me, at least!
Electric are you feeling better about not bf?
I wouldn't get anything done w/o my sling. Just ordered a kozy mei tai since the sling hurts my back after awhile. I think it's too much padding. I couldn't nurse in the hot sling I had. I think it's like new native. Perhaps a nb, but not older baby.
