Hi ladies, I am new to motherhood (21 weeks pregnant) and I am wondering if there are any groups in existence for moms like me. I am not going to vaccinate, and it would be nice to meet/chat with other moms that wont put me down for my beliefs. Also would be nice to get input and advice from other moms on baby raising etc. I will be stay home mom once little one gets here, so it would be nice to have a nice support network to rely on and join.

Also- any ideas on good pediatricians that are open to no-vax?

Btw- i am in Carroll County area, but willing to travel a bit. Thank you!

Hello agata20! Welcome to Mothering! We are so glad you have joined us. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I don't live in your area, so I can't give any specific recommendations, but if there is anything I can help you find in our community, please let me know. Also, if you could take a moment and visit the link below to tell us how you heard about us and decided to join, we would really appreciate it. I think you will find lots of like-minded folks here to talk about raising your little one.

Are you on Facebook? There is a Mobtown Mommies group, based out of Baltimore that I have loved for getting general mommy advice. The are not "crunchy," but are pretty open-minded. There is also a "Crunchy Mamas" group. Most mamas are from Harford County, but there are some from all over. You could also look at "The Holistic Moms Network," too. I'm sure Carroll County has good crunchy resources.

Hello! I am new to motherhood as well (just 10 weeks along), and am curious who you are seeing for your prenatal care? I have visited Women's Health Associates in Towson. They have 8 midwives and OB-GYNs as well. I am still exploring my options and have an appointment with a doctor at Crossroads in Owings Mills next month. She is a one-doctor practice, which I like. I just had my first ultrasound today, and everything seems to be going well! Message me if you'd like!

I know this post is a few months old, but I just stumbled on it and wanted to say- I'm in Carroll County too! Did you have any luck with finding mommy groups around here? I haven't been able to really find anything yet. I have an 8 month old daughter btw :)
